I first created this article in 2020 because I am a Colorado wedding photographer that really loves rustic style weddings and I wanted to have a guide to the awesome selection of this kind of wedding venue that Colorado has to offer. It is now 2025 and I decided it was time to go back through the list to update it with any closures and add all of the new rustic venues that deserve a spot on the list. I have rewritten some parts and updated the information in this article accordingly. I hope it helps you with your wedding planning!
Today I’m sharing a list of the best barn wedding venues in Colorado. I got married at a Colorado rustic barn myself and I’ve scoured Colorado to compile a list of the prettiest Colorado farm wedding venues with barns. In this article, you’ll find sprawling mountain ranch wedding venues and old historic barns too. Each of these Colorado rustic wedding venues on farms and ranches feature a beautiful barn on the property available for weddings to use for your rustic Colorado wedding or they have some rustic barn or farm like quality to the venue that I believe makes them suitable to be included on this list. I’ve organized this roundup of Colorado barn wedding venues by location to make it easy for you to narrow a list for site visits. You can also check out the map to find where each of these picturesque Colorado barns are located. I’ve done my best to list these Colorado wedding barns’ defining features, capacity, and a rough idea of pricing when possible.
If you own a Colorado barn wedding venue and would like to have your barn included on this list, be sure to get in touch with me! There are couples out there who have been dreaming about hosting weddings in a barn and want to find yours!
Colorado Barn & Farm Wedding Venues located along the Front Range

Below is a list of the prettiest Barn wedding locations on the Colorado Front Range from Fort Collins down to Pueblo. These barns that are available for weddings are located both in the foothills and the great wide open plains and every place in between. You’re sure to find one that suits your tastes from this round up of Colorado Front Range barn wedding venues. Whether you’re looking for a barn with a ton of historic old charm or if you’re looking for a more modern barn with new and elegant features, you’re sure to find some Colorado Ranch wedding venues with barns that will be perfect for your wedding day. I’ve started with the Denver barn wedding venues and branched out from there. You’re sure to find lots of amazing barns you can rent for parties on the list below.
West Denver Barn Weddings in Colorado
Since I’m based on the west side of Denver, I’ll kick off this article with the best barns available for weddings located on the west side of the Denver metro area. Although it’s technically located in the mountains, I have included Evergreen as part of the western Denver metro suburbs due to its close proximity to the city.

The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park
26624 N Turkey Creek Rd, Evergreen, CO 80439
(303) 674-0556
The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park is located in Evergreen, Colorado and takes less than 40 minutes to get to from Denver. It’s an incredibly unique barn wedding venue because it has a cemetery on the grounds with roaming buffalo in the backdrop. The barn itself is known for its stunning stained glass windows and it can fit up to 250 guests if you use all three levels of the barn. The main level can fit 150 guests and the loft area can fit another 50 and the basement level of the barn has room for seating too. It’s also one of the cheaper barn wedding venues in Colorado that you’ll find. They have pricing that ranges from $4,500-$8,000 depending on the day of the week and time of year that you wish to reserve the barn. Be sure to get in touch with them to find more information about booking this pretty rustic barn for your Colorado wedding. Check out the link above to see more wedding photos from The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Evergreen Red Barn
27826 Alabraska Ln, Evergreen, CO 80439
(303) 674-1838
The Evergreen Red Barn is only 5 minutes away from the barn listed above. As the name suggests, this barn looks different because it is a classic red barn. This 11 acre property has a ton of beautiful photogenic opportunities with peaceful winding paths through the woods. They maintain their grounds very well. One feature I really like about this barn is the covered outdoor balcony allowing your guests to enjoy the outdoor nature even after the party has moved indoors. They can host up to 115 guests overall at this barn. From my research, The Evergreen Red Barn is also one of Colorado’s best priced wedding venues with pricing ranging from $4,000-$6,500 depending on the date you’d like to reserve.
Little Eden Plantscaping
15550 W 72nd Ave, Arvada, CO 80007
(303) 422-3336
Little Eden is a nursery with Tropical Greenhouses that allow their space to be rented for events. They have an outdoor covered pavilion on their property which would make a nice ceremony space as well as multiple lush greenhouse spaces that would make for some gorgeous photos. Who doesn’t want to feel like they’re in the middle of a rainforest right here in Colorado? They also do plant rentals so I bet they’d have some great ideas for turning your wedding reception into a lush jungle style setting. Get in touch with them today to see how their little farm oasis in the middle of Arvada could be used for your wedding plans!
North Star Gatherings
3354 Little Bear Creek Rd, Idaho Springs, CO 80452
(720) 608-0167
North Star Gatherings is still one of the newer barn wedding venues on the Front Range built in the mountains of Evergreen, not very far from the Denver Metro area. This is the perfect barn to get married in if you’re looking for something that blends a rustic location feel with something a little more sleek and modern. This gorgeous barn has a traditional barn shape on the outside but the inside definitely feels more classy and upscale than the average barn wedding venue. I absolutely love the views from their deck. You can also host a fairly large wedding here with up to 170 people and the venue rental price ranges from between $9,100 to $10,500 depending on your wedding date. They do also require a professional day of wedding planner so couples who are hoping to be a little more DIY in this regard might need to consider this added expense with North Star Gatherings.
Red Barn at Golden Gate Canyon State Park
92 Crawford Gulch Rd, Golden, CO 80403
(303) 582-3707
The Red Barn at Golden Gate Canyon State Park is one of the most affordable barn wedding venues you’ll find in the entire state of Colorado. It’s located about 45 minutes slightly northwest of Downtown Denver and just 25 minutes from Golden so it’s not far from the city. Even though it’s not far, it has a nice feeling of being out in the middle of nature since it’s inside a Colorado state park. So you can get the best of both worlds with lodging options for guests in the city and they also have a campground at the state park if you have outdoorsy guests who want to spend the night there. You’ll be able to host up to 150 guests at the Red Barn but there is only room for up to 25 vehicles to park so you may need to book transportation for larger weddings. It costs $150 for Monday-Friday weddings and Saturday-Sunday weddings are $200. The park also charges each car that enters an entrance fee of $12. I think the Red Barn at Golden Gate Canyon is more suited to smaller DIY style weddings since catering options may be more limited by the kitchen facilities at this rustic barn venue. It’s great for a simple picnic style wedding where you bring your own food.

Red Barn & Calving Barn at Heritage Lakewood
801 S Yarrow St, Lakewood, CO 80226
303-987-7806
Over in the Belmar area of Lakewood is a really cool place known as the Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park (formerly known as Heritage Lakewood Center). This place is so beautiful that I have suggested it for portrait sessions in the past. It’s a collection of vintage buildings with historic significance. One such building is the Red Barn. The Red Barn houses a collection of vintage tractors, but you can rent the lawn area in front of the Red Barn for wedding ceremonies. The Red Barn lawn can host 150 people and costs $179 per hour.
Just a short walk away is my favorite barn in this Belmar park which is the Calving Barn. It’s a rustic wood barn which I think looks beautiful in photos. The Calving Barn is small so it would only work for those interested in hosting a micro wedding. It can host between 15-35 guests. The price for renting the Calving Barn is $89 per hour which is a real bargain.
Heritage Lakewood has other locations within the park that you can also rent for a wedding but since they aren’t barn locations I won’t go into all of the details for those spaces in this article. But you can check out the link to see if some combination of what they have to rent would work for your wedding. I think this is a great place for those who are looking to host a wedding on a budget and I’m sure you can get both the Red Barn and the Calving Barn in your photos even if you end up renting other areas of the park.
East Denver Farm Style Wedding Venues
Below I’ve outlined the options I found for old barn wedding venues found on the farmland on the east side of the Denver metro area.
Bonnie Blues Event Center
4225 Carlson Trail, Elizabeth, CO 80107
(720) 688-0320
Bonnie Blues Event Venue is new to this list in 2025. I am in love with this modern barn wedding venue that still has a touch of rustic charm to it. One sweet little fact about this place is that the family who built it named it after Grandma Bonnie’s blue eyes. How dear is that? Bonnie Blues is located out on the eastern plains of Elizabeth about 15 minutes from E-470 in Aurora. You’ll be able to host up to 250 guests (they have chairs and tables for up to 200) at this brand new event center. They have truly done a fantastic job with the barn and the grounds there. I love all of the wide open space of their green grass lawn and the concrete ceremony space with a large, pretty, wood pavilion is awesome too! Us photographers are always obsessed with venue that have beautiful, natural light especially in the getting ready spaces and this venue has a ton of gorgeous natural light! The barn where dinner receptions are held has soaring ceilings and one side of the barn is totally open to a covered patio space so it’s perfect for those who want to take advantage of Colorado’s warm sunny weather with a space that has an indoor/outdoor hybrid feel. When I was a bride, I was obsessed with the idea of dancing under the stars and patio string lights and this venue has that option!
Bonnie Blues Event Center has some different price options for those who are looking for something all inclusive as well couples who are looking to find a venue that will allow them to choose their own vendors to work with. You’ll get use of the venue for 12 hours either way you go with your package. The cost of reserving Bonnie Blues Barn for your wedding depends on the time of year and the day of the week that you want to reserve for your wedding day. The all inclusive packages includes the venue itself, wedding coordination, DJ, Catering, Floral Credit, and rentals. You’ll have to reach out to Bonnie Blues directly to get an all inclusive quote for your wedding. For those who want to do the planning themselves and choose their own vendors, Bonnie Blues has exclusive packages that range from $6,500-$10,000 during the regular season of May-October. If you host your wedding from November-April the cost to book Bonnie Blues wedding venue ranges from $5,000-$8,000.

Once Upon a Time Events
31242 Wedemeyer Rd, Kiowa, CO 80117
(720) 838-7608
Once Upon a Time Events is a unique farm style barn wedding venue east of Denver in the plains area of Kiowa, Colorado. They have a ton of great things to offer including a 3,200 square foot red barn with a lovely wood deck on the exterior, white linens plus tables and chairs for up to 175 guests, as well as beautiful outdoor space with views and outdoor gas heaters. After getting the chance to photograph this unique barn wedding venue on the eastern plains of Colorado, I can say that one thing that I really love is that they have a ton of pretty string lights cascading from the ceiling and it really makes for a pretty glowing backdrop in the wedding photos. Oh and of course, the various adorable alpacas just roaming around loving life really add to the rustic atmosphere too. All of this and more is offered at a very competitive rates too. Once Upon a Time Events offers full day events for $3,250 Monday-Thursday, $3,750 for Fridays and Sundays, and $4,250 for a Saturday. For couples on a budget looking for a beautiful barn wedding venue in Colorado, Once Upon a Time Events is a great option to look into!

South Denver Colorado Barn Wedding Venues
The South Denver Metro area is home to some really awesome historic barn options for your wedding day. South Denver has some of the best Denver barn weddings around! See the list of beautiful Colorado barns in South Denver below!

The Barn at Raccoon Creek
7301 W Bowles Ave, Littleton, CO 80123
(720) 287-8188
The Barn at Raccoon Creek is a really neat barn wedding venue in south Denver down in Littleton. This is a unique barn wedding venue because it mixes a farm feel with the refined elegance of a golf course wedding. I first photographed there nearly 15 years ago, but in that time, they’ve really invested a lot into making this cute barn venue even better than it already was. They still have their beautiful historic barns on the property, but they’ve since built a brand new bridal farmhouse and renovated the groom hang out quarters too. They can host dinners inside the barn along with dancing and you can also opt to use their large white tent right next door too. One of my favorite features of this venue is the huge grassy lawn with string lights hanging overhead. It’s the perfect place for cocktail hour where guests can drink and play lawn games while you finish up your family photos.
The cost to rent the Barn at Raccoon Creek depends both on the time of year that you want to get married as well as the day of the week. They have a high, mid, and low season at this Littleton CO wedding venue. For 2025, the prices are between $4,500-$12,000 for the high season, between $2,500-$8,500 for the mid season, and $1,500-6,500 for the low season. The pricing is going up a little bit for the high season rates for 2026 and will be $5,000-$12,500 for the high season, while the mid and low season rates seem to be staying the same. Be sure to check in directly with the Barn at Raccoon Creek to find out more information and up to date wedding pricing and everything they have to offer at their beautiful golf course farm venue!

Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms
8500 W Deer Creek Canyon Rd, Littleton, CO 80128
(720) 865-3500
If you head a little more south down to the area next to Chatfield State Park you’ll find Chatfield Farms at Denver Botanic Gardens. This wedding venue will always be one of my very favorites because it’s where I got married myself! I’ve photographed countless weddings at this gorgeous barn wedding venue in Littleton and I never get bored with the scenery it has to offer. As the name suggests, there are tons of pretty garden spaces (I particularly love the gardens on the east side of the large red barn). I also love that there is a lovely wooded area that you can wander around getting lost in and making pretty wedding portraits too. This is a historic farm property with plenty of farm houses, old rustic wood sheds and barn like structures, and even a quaint one room schoolhouse! Be sure to take a look at the link I’ve posted above to see tons of photos and an even more in depth write up for my favorite barn wedding venue in the Denver area!
Boulder Colorado Farm Wedding Venues
I grew up in Longmont which is part of the Boulder County area and this part of Colorado is full of beautiful farmland and open spaces that have managed to somehow stay intact throughout the years thanks to aggressive acquisition and management of surrounding lands. Boulder is rabid about their love of fresh farm produce as well which supports a thriving scene of independent farms. There are a plethora of stunning barn wedding options on the farms in Boulder County. Check out the beautiful Boulder wedding barns available for rent for your wedding celebration on these farms in the list below!
Boulder Flower Farm
4114 Oxford Rd, Longmont, CO 80503
(303) 449-5994
I am super excited to share the Boulder Flower Farm wedding venue here on this rustic farm wedding list. Just to get it out of the way, this is a 10 acre wedding venue in Boulder County (west side of Longmont) that does not have an actual barn on the property. However, the romantic, gorgeous farm style ambiance is everything I love about rustic wedding venues so it definitely deserves a spot on this list. There is a modern farmhouse on site that you can rent for the day too.
You can host your ceremony in front of a huge cottonwood tree on the lush green lawn and if you dreamed of having a dining al fresco style wedding reception dinner this location is perfect for it. They have a flagstone patio with a plant covered wood trellis for those hosting a smaller dinner party while larger weddings can set up on the lawn either under a tent or just under the hanging string lights. I am in love with the rows and rows of colorful flower gardens and as a photographer, this is a dream location to photograph at. Plus the include a generous flower budget with their wedding packages so you can use the flowers that were grown right there at the farm!
The Boulder Flower Farm wedding costs are $3,500 for the base fee plus $120/guest with a 100 guest maximum. I would LOVE to be your Boulder Flower Farm wedding photographer!
Black Cat Farmstead
9889 N 51st St, Longmont, CO 80503
(303) 717-6836
The Black Cat Farmstead is run by the same people behind the Black Cat Bistro and Bramble & Hare in Boulder. They grow the majority of their food served in those restaurants at this 425 acre certified organic vegetable farm and I recently learned that they have some options for hosting smaller, private events at their farm located just north of Boulder in the farmland area west of Longmont. Their website mentions that they have a barn and I think this would be a wonderful place to host a wedding reception dinner especially if having locally grown, organic food is important to you.
They have some different options for semi-private affairs as well as full farm buyouts. If you wanted to host a partially private dinner at the barn and patio for 9-15 guests it would be a $2,900 food minimum plus tax and a 25% service charge and alcohol. This option is probably best for something more like a rehearsal dinner since they do not allow dancing, music, bar options for this level. You can also do a smaller farm buyout option for up to 24 guests which would be $6,000 for the food minimum plus tax and 25% service charge and alcohol would be separate. And for those want to do something larger and more like a traditional wedding reception, you could do a full farm private buyout with Djs and dancing and music. For 25-40 guests it would be an $8,000 food & beverage minimum and a $3,000 venue fee. For 41-70 guests it’s a $12,000 food & beverage minimum and a $4,000 venue fee. For 71-90 guests it’s $14,000 for the food & beverage minimum as well as a $6,000 venue fee. All would have tax and a 25% service fee on top of that. You can find out more about what they offer for private events on their website!

D-Barn Reception Hall
136 S Main St, Longmont, CO 80501
(303) 651-1259
Up in my hometown of Longmont, there is a really cute old barn known as the Dickens Barn or “D-Barn.” Despite all of the rapid growth in this part of Longmont, this sweet little barn property is still standing and offering a cute barn venue for parties at a great price! I wouldn’t say that the grounds at D-Barn Reception Hall are particularly pretty and it is located on a busy stretch of Main Street so you may want to come up with a plan B for the majority of your formal photos (I can help with that if you hire me!), but the barn itself is seriously cute for a nice reception party! Once upon a time this was a dairy barn and it’s retained a lot of character throughout its over 100 year history! If you click the link above you’ll find real weddings I’ve photographed there and more in depth information about this adorable red barn in Longmont.
Lionsgate Center Chandelier Barn
1055 US-287, Lafayette, CO 80026
(303) 665-6525
The Chandelier Barn at the Lionsgate Center has got to be one of the most unique barn wedding venues you’ll find in this entire list of Colorado Barn weddings. Everywhere you turn at this beautiful white barn you find beautiful photo backdrops to use. I love all of the pretty stained glass windows and the colorfully painted doors. This barn is famous for its numerous chandeliers hanging from the roof inside. It’s like Versailles meets a simple country inn making for what I consider the very definition of “Rustic Chic.” It is a must see venue if you are looking to get married at a barn somewhere in the Denver metro area. And please get in touch with me if you end up booking it for your wedding. I would absolutely LOVE to be your Lionsgate wedding photographer!
Lone Hawk Farm
10790 N 49th St, Longmont, CO 80503
Lone Hawk Farm is a lovely farm with 120 acres in my very favorite part of the state, the farmland west of Longmont and North of Boulder. From June through September they open their farm for special events like weddings at their barn which can host up to 125 guests. I really love the incredible, arched wood doors with intricate carving and stone wall at their red barn. It’s a truly elevated barn experience. Your guests can roam around in the large grassy meadow with views of the mountains and they have lots of different options for hosting a wedding ceremony. They allow self catering as long as you hire a professional waitstaff or you can opt to go with a professional catering company. Music must be done by 9 pm so this may not be a great option for the party animals out there, but for those who want a simple affair incorporating local farm food into the dinner, Lone Hawk Farm would make an excellent choice.
Ogallala Farm
4039 Ogallala Rd, Longmont, CO 80503
(720) 722-4307
Ogallala Farm is another wedding venue I’m choosing to include on my list of rustic wedding venues in Colorado despite not having an actual barn or barn like structure on the property because it is an actual flower farm venue and they do have other quaint farm features like an old concrete brick silo and a vintage truck at the property. Plus, it looks like it has really pretty grounds with a lot of trees with string lights which I think always add a nice glowing light to the background of your photos. It’s located on the west side of Longmont which I’ve already mentioned has some of the most beautiful farmland in Colorado. I think this farm wedding venue is likely best for somewhat smaller, more laid back affairs because they have some restrictions on the decibels for your music. They do have a large white tent to provide cover in the case of foul weather. I also just recently realized that I actually considered booking this venue for my own wedding back in 2012 because it was so beautiful. They have so many pretty flowers there! It was known as Pastures of Plenty back then. The only reason I didn’t end up going for it was because I wanted to be able to do a louder dance party. But, if you’re looking for something a little more peaceful and relaxed with more of an acoustic vibe on your wedding day, this place could be perfect for you!
Lyons Farmette
4121 Ute Hwy, Lyons, CO 80540
(303) 746-6266
The Lyons Farmette wedding venue is another farm wedding venue that I’m including on this list despite not having a traditional barn structure on their property. I’m including it because it has everything else you’d want to see for your farm wedding like rustic wood farm buildings, old vintage trucks, chickens running around and I really like their greenhouse. Plus, I’m a sucker for a farm venue that has lots of great gardens which the Lyons Farmette delivers in droves. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that they have a super cute Airstream trailer on their property. Seriously, there is so much to love about this pretty farm wedding venue in Colorado. I like that they have options for farm to table dinners in their large white tent, or if the weather is cooperating you can dine al fresco. They can host up to 125 guests at the Lyons Farmette. Lyons is one of my favorite small towns in Colorado! My family and I spent a lot of time recreating here when I was young so I have fond memories of this quaint little mountain town.
The Lyons Farmette Wedding costs range from $5,500 for mid-week weddings up to $9,500 for a Saturday wedding for 2025. The prices go up a bit in 2026 and will cost between $6,000-$9,500 next year. Be sure to get in touch with them to find out what their availability is and to set up a site visit. If you love it, get in touch with me because I’d love to be your Lyons Farmette wedding photographer!
The Old Elm
8912 Arapahoe Rd, Boulder, CO 80303
(303) 618-0571
I just discovered this barn wedding venue in Boulder Colorado called The Old Elm with incredible views of the Flatirons. In fact, I would say based on my research that this farm at The Old Elm might just have the best mountain views of all barn wedding venues listed in the Boulder County section of this article. I love that this venue has a classic red barn structure on the property and they even have a cool little garage/machine shop style structure right next door to the barn for a bar set up. There are plenty of wide open grassy areas for guests to wander around in and enjoy the scenery and they even have an outdoor firepit where guests can take a breather from the festivities and chill for a bit under the stars. White drapes and crystal chandeliers on the interior of the barn help to glam it up a bit too. They have the ability to host up to 100 guests at this pretty little farm wedding venue that’s only a 10 min drive east of central Boulder. I believe this is a newer wedding venue and there isn’t a ton of info on their website just yet so you’ll probably want to reach out to them directly to get the full scoop on hosting your wedding there. They have great reviews on google already from other couples who have gotten married there so that’s a great sign!

Shupe Homestead
11931 N 61st St, Longmont, CO 80503
(303) 485-7488
This next beautiful wedding venue on the list is not a true barn venue, but I decided to include it on this list anyway because it still has that beautiful rustic farm feel with barn like structures on the property. I grew up in Longmont, and just west of Longmont is the prettiest little farm town called Hygiene with a quaint little town area that has a “blink and you’ll miss it” vibe. This area is mostly made up of small farms and the Shupe Homestead is one of them. Their grounds are full of pretty gardens and rustic little farm buildings. It’s perfect for couples who want to feel like they are in the middle of nowhere with beautiful mountain views. I may be biased because I grew up in Longmont, but I have always felt that the west side of Longmont and Hygiene is some of the most beautiful farmland in the entire state. Shupe has a nice wide range of wedding package prices too from $3,900 for smaller more intimate events held on less desirable dates up to $8,500 for up to 100 guests on a Saturday. Definitely get in touch with them to find out what they can do for your wedding.
Three Leaf Farm
445 S 112th St, Lafayette, CO 80026
(303) 862-8584
Three Leaf Farm is a beautiful farm nestled along the Coal Creek corridor in Lafayette. They have a beautiful brown wood barn where they board horses. Three Leaf Farm would be a great location for those who want to host a smaller, more simple wedding celebration as they can only host up to 75 guests max. If you have less than 25 guests you can use their one bathroom, but for larger parties, they’ll assist in renting a portalet for your group. They do not have a covered space, so you’ll be responsible for renting a tent for your wedding as well. Three Leaf Farm allows rentals for up to 5 hours with a 10 pm cut off time. They do allow a morning decorating time which is helpful in not eating into your 5 hours. You’ll definitely want to inquire with them directly to find out if their farm would be a good fit for your barn wedding!
Ya Ya Farm & Orchard
6914 Ute Hwy, Longmont, CO 80503
(303) 549-7447
Ya Ya Farm & Orchard is another farm wedding venue located in my favorite part of Colorado. It’s right off of Highway 66 in North Longmont (the road that takes you up to Lyons and on to RMNP!) and has beautiful views of the rolling foothills. Plus, who wouldn’t love taking their wedding pictures in a pretty apple orchard? Their farm has a really cute old wood barn with wood of varying colors as well as a classic dark red painted wood barn and vintage farm equipment and trucks too. It’s an incredibly quaint place to host your wedding. They have room for around 150 guests on the high side and I love the idea of dining al fresco with Longs Peak off in the distance. Be sure to check with the Ya Ya Farm directly to find out what their availability is and the costs for hosting a wedding celebration at their orchard farm in North Longmont.
Fort Collins Barn Wedding Venues
Heading to Northern Colorado in the Fort Collins area, there are also gorgeous farms that have the ability to host weddings on their properties. You’ll find a great selection of lovely rustic barn wedding venues in this section of the article. Check out this list of Fort Collins Barn weddings in the Northern Colorado area below!

Aspen Grove at Sundance Trail Guest Ranch
17931 W County Rd 74e, Red Feather Lakes, CO 80545
(970) 556-5053
Aspen Grove at Sundance Trail Guest Ranch is a wedding venue in Red Feather Lakes which is about 45 minutes northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado. They have a building called the Carriage House which is a bit of a modern style barn with doors that open out onto a courtyard area. The Carriage House can accommodate between 40-50 people at a wedding receptiondepending on your table set up. I love that they have not just one or two pretty ceremony locations on their property but 5 different beautiful areas that you can choose for your wedding ceremony. They have a big beautiful wood gazebo near the Carriage House if you want to keep everything close. Aspen Grove at STGR also has the Labyrinth Garden, Ranch Pond’s Shore, Forest Setting, and the Rock Outcropping. From the photos I’ve seen all of these spaces look beautiful for hosting a wedding ceremony.
Aspen Grove at Sundance Trail Guest Ranch also has a variety of options for hosting your guests with an overnight stay so if you’re hoping to create a fun destination wedding weekend in Colorado for you and your friends and family you should definitely look into hosting your wedding at this gorgeous, rustic wedding venue in Northern Colorado.
Big Red Barn at Highland Meadows Golf Course
6300 Highland Meadows Pkwy, Windsor, CO 80550
(970) 204-4653
The Big Red Barn at Highland Meadows Golf Course is such a pretty and traditional looking barn with its red painted exterior and soaring wood beamed ceilings on the inside. It’s located in Windsor, Colorado just east of I-25 and Loveland. I attempted to see if I could find some updated information for this venue in 2025 but they removed their events page. So the following information may be a bit outdated. You’ll have to contact the golf club directly to find out updated pricing and information for their red barn venue. The Big Red Barn can host events from 11 am to 11 pm in order to comply with the neighborhood noise restrictions and your wedding will be the only wedding on your wedding day at Highland Meadows Golf Course. You’ll also get a day of coordinator included with your wedding package. There is a minimum of 125 guests for Saturday weddings.
They have two ceremony sites at Highland Meadows Golf Course. The Big Red Barn patio is $200 for a wedding ceremony and Martha’s Green is $300. These prices are for ceremonies that are booked in conjunction with a reception, but Highland Meadows Golf Course has some ceremony only options if you contact them directly and ask about those.
The Big Red Barn is the reception site and it’s both air conditioned and heated making it a great option for wedding receptions year round. Monday-Thursday wedding events are $5,000 and Friday-Sunday events are $7,000 to book The Big Red Barn at Highland Meadows Golf Course. There is an in house caterer who you’ll work with to create a custom menu for your wedding. Menu pricing at The Big Red Barn ranges from $25-$32 per person but you also have the option of paying the $500 fee to use an outside caterer for your wedding. Be sure to check in with the wedding staff at The Big Red Barn at Highland Meadows to see how they can help you with your wedding plans!
The Covey Events
8601 Covey Court, Fort Collins CO 80524
(970) 217-8171
The Covey is a barn wedding venue located in Fort Collins about 20 minutes northwest of Old Town. The Covey barn sits on 35 acres of wide open pasture land with views of the mountains to the west. It can fit up to 150 guests and features a mix of rustic iron chandeliers with elegant crystal style chandeliers hanging overhead. I love that it also has a cozy stone fireplace along one of the walls as well. The outdoor ceremony space is really nice as well with rows of benches for guests to sit on while you get married beneath the intricate iron gazebo. The Covey wedding venue is a good value for their wedding pricing too. They have off season rates (November-April) of $6,500. The prime season is May-October and if you get married on a weekday (Monday-Thursday) during the prime season it’s $6,500. If you get married on a Friday-Sunday date during the prime season, you’ll pay $8,000. This is a really nice looking new barn in Northern Colorado that’s well worth a site visit!
Platte River Fort
22999 US-34, Greeley, CO 80631
(970) 590-4414
The Platte River Fort has Bent’s Barn which is a 3,264 square foot barn lit up on the interior with edison bulb string lights. It’s a large space to hold a wedding reception and can fit up to 150 guests. I love that this barn has super tall ceilings making it feel incredibly open and inviting. This unique barn wedding location is just a little bit east of Greeley, CO adjacent to the South Platte River. Bent’s Barn at Platte River Fort wedding costs used to be listed online but now they have a page describing the various packages they offer but you’ll have to reach out to them directly to get a proposal from them. This gorgeous eastern Colorado plains barn has a range of different wedding packages for various sized weddings so if you are looking to do more of a micro wedding they have smaller packages for that. One thing about this Colorado barn wedding venue that I quite like is that there are overnight accommodations like glamping in a yurt that your guests can enjoy if they choose to make reservations there for your wedding. If you are the sort who enjoys luxury camping, I think that would be a unique and romantic way to end the evening on your wedding day too!
Rist Canyon Inn
4625 Rist Canyon Rd, Laporte, CO 80535
(970) 692-6962
If you head a little more north, you’ll find Rist Canyon Inn. It’s located in one of my very favorite areas of Colorado, the La Porte and Bellvue area nestled between the foothills and Fort Collins. This is a place full of beautiful green farmland and although the Rist Canyon Inn is not a true barn wedding venue, I decided that the 120 year old rustic farmhouse vibe was enough to keep it on this list.
The Rist Canyon Inn’s largest space is the Bellvue Event Hall which is a gorgeous reception space with 1,850 square feet. It can host up to 100 guests and you’ll be able to use the awesome patio adjacent to the hall as well as the lovely grassy lawn area. The ceiling has a bunch of modern circular pendant lights hanging and the solid wood floor is a great touch too. The pasture where ceremonies take place is expansive and has nice views of the cute little foothills in this area. I love that they have a bunch of hand made wooden benches for your guests to sit on too.
But, my very favorite thing about Rist Canyon Inn is the 1896 white farm house. I live in an 1895 Victorian style farmhouse myself though mine is in the city and hasn’t been surrounded by farms in quite some time. But, I just love these historic gems. They also have a quaint little cabin called the White Pine Cabin. Both the farmhouse and the cabin are used as getting ready spaces for weddings and can be rented for an overnight stay. Rist Canyon Inn is a seriously idyllic place to get married! If you’re looking for a rustic wedding venue in the Fort Collins area it’s definitely worth setting up a site visit. And if you end up loving it? Please get in touch with me! I would love to be your Rist Canyon Inn wedding photographer!
Rockin S Ranch
6943 Co Rd 56, Johnstown, CO 80534
(970) 227-8009
The Rockin S Ranch is located just east of Loveland heading toward Greeley. It used to be a dairy farm and has a lake with views of the mountains. It’s a huge place with 8 acres of farm land. The original dairy barn has been renovated and is now used for wedding receptions. They’ve done a really great job with the renovations keeping the 1950s charm intact while modernizing it and making it look beautiful. I love that it has an adjoining courtyard. The Rockin S Ranch courtyard accommodates up to 200 guests while the upper covered barn can hold 100 guests. The lower field adjacent to the lake can hold up to 200 people and the lower covered barn can hold 200 guests. You’ll have exclusive use of the facilities for up to 10 hours and a day of coordinator is included with your wedding package. In 2025, the wedding prices are $9,000 for 100 guests and $9,500 for up to 200 guests on a Saturday. For Fridays and Sundays it’ll cost $7,500 for up to 100 guests and $8,000 for up to 200 guests. For Monday-Thursday weddings the price for the Rockin S Ranch is $6,500 for up to 100 guests and $7,000 for up to 200 guests. Be sure to contact the folks at Rockin S Ranch to find out more about what they offer and set up a site visit.

1C Barn
16570 Dancing Wolf Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80908
(719) 244-4847
On the northern edge of Colorado Springs in the Black Forest area lies the intimate 1 C Barn wedding venue. This barn wedding venue is kind of a cross between a vacation style rental home with an event barn venue. So couples who rent out the 1 C Barn can have both a place to stay the night as well as a beautiful place to get married depending on the size of their wedding. The 1C Barn can host up to 50 people on the grounds for a wedding day and they can accommodate between 15-17 guests for an overnight stay. So this place could be perfect for couples trying to find an all in one style space for a micro wedding. They even mention on their website that there is another rental property right across the street (https://www.1cbarn.com/view-more-rentals) if you are hoping to find a way to house more wedding guests nearby. One thing I really love about this lil Barn house wedding venue is that it’s only about a 5 min drive away from Fox Run Regional Park where I’ve created really pretty forest portraits in the past. It would be easy to head there to create some beautiful wedding day photos.
The McElhoes Family typically rents out this cool barn home for weddings as a weekend retreat with the pricing generally ranging from $2,000-$5,500 depending on the size of your event. There is a minimum night stay of 2-7 nights depending on the days of the week/time of the year so you’ll want to reach out to them directly for a quote.
3 Cord Meadows
3830 Milne Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80930
(719) 648-3645
Out on the plains of Colorado, about 30 minutes east of Colorado Springs is a beautiful ranch wedding venue with a cute red barn. I love that there are views of Pikes Peak off in the distance from 3 Cord Meadows. The interior of this barn is cute with not just string lights hanging overhead but traditional wedding bunting decorating the ceiling too. They charge $4,300 for Monday-Thursday weddings and $4,750 for Friday-Sunday weddings. You get this beautiful ranch space for 10 hours, use of the rustic bar, tables and chairs for up to 125 guests, use of the main barn and the hay barn, and so much more. Be sure to get in touch with the folks over at 3 Cord Meadows to see how they can help you with your wedding planning today!
Flying W Ranch
3330 Chuckwagon Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80919
(719) 598-4000
Flying W Ranch is a really cool place known for hosting chuck wagon ranch dinners for the past 70 years at their ranch that lies directly north of Garden of the Gods. They have a huge barn style pavilion where they host music events and can also host wedding receptions in this space. They can host a wide range of group sizes between 20-2,000 people so if you need a space that can handle a larger wedding the Flying W Ranch can help you. My favorite thing about this wedding venue is that they also have incredible sandstone rock formations just like the famous ones at Garden of the Gods. This place is perfect for those who want a mix between the gorgeous scenery of Garden of the Gods but also have a barn style venue to party in on your wedding day. Please check with Flying W Ranch directly to see if they can accommodate your wedding day.

Hearth House Wedding Venue in Monument
192 Front St, Monument, CO 80132
(719) 465-1418
The Hearth House wedding venue is not an actual barn, but it has so many incredible modern farmhouse style features that I just had to include it in this list of Colorado Springs barn weddings. It’s actually located north of Colorado Springs in the heart of downtown Monument. It’s an old historic brick building that was completely remodeled into a luxurious farmhouse style wedding venue. The shape of the building is actually very reminiscent of a barn with a 2nd story cupola and the interior is stunning. It has a lovely mix of farmhouse chic paired with modern elegance. I love so many features of this beautiful farmhouse wedding venue like the white sliding barnwood doors, the enormous stone double sided fireplace, and the exposed wood beams. They’re able to host up to 250 guests at the Hearth House.
I love that they also have a quaint little white Hearth House cottage on site as well which you can use for your wedding preparations. This adorable little cottage is also done in the modern farmhouse style and is included in the rental fee. I can’t get over how affordable this venue is considering how nicely done it is. During the summer and fall season, Hearth House will cost between $4,000-$6,000 to reserve it for your wedding depending on the day of the week you’d like to use. During winter and spring you can reserve it for rates between $3,000-$5,000 depending on the day of the week. They also have options for all inclusive packages if you’d rather let them help take care of the details more. This is also one of the rare wedding venues that does allow you to bring your own alcohol (as long as there is a TIPS certified bartender serving) and cater your own party which can save you a lot of money. Be sure to check in with Hearth House directly to find out how they can help you plan your rustic farmhouse style wedding celebration in Colorado!
Idlewild Ridge Ranch
39603 US-24, Lake George, CO 80827
Idlewild Ridge Ranch is a 21 acre beautiful old homesteading ranch that started as a stagecoach stop in the 1860s. It’s located in the mountains about 50 minutes west of Colorado Springs on highway 24 near the tiny community of Lake George, Colorado. This is a great barn wedding venue for couples who would like to host a wedding celebration that feels more like a nature retreat. I really love the old log cabin look of their buildings on the ranch and one really awesome part of the property is all of the pretty pine trees. You might actually be surprised by how many properties in Colorado don’t have many trees so as a wedding photographer I really love that they have some wooded areas on their property to use for your photos.
The Idlewild Ranch wedding venue can host up to 16 guests for 2 or more nights and they have the space to host a reception and ceremony for up to 100 guests total. They can potentially host more than 100 guests, but you may have to bring in your own rentals for that. They even have the space for some of your guests to park their RVs or bring tents so reach out to them directly to find out what kind of restrictions or limits they might have regarding the amount of folks who can stay overnight. There are more hotel accommodations just 20 minutes away in Woodland Park for weddings with a larger amount of guests. Because they do a 2 night minimum the timing is much more relaxed and you can design a more chill affair with less time restrictions on clean up, party cut off timing etc… which I think is a huge benefit for those who don’t want to stress about that kind of thing on their wedding weekend.
Idlewild Ridge Ranch weddings are generally hosted from May-October when the weather here in Colorado is more conducive to outdoor events. It’s also one of the more affordable options with a great value that you’ll find for a Colorado mountain wedding venue. You’ll spend $7,000 to book the entirety of Idlewild Ranch and it’s only $1,000 extra to add on a 3rd night. They also have a winter wedding package available for a one day (0 nights) for $1,200 with options for adding on lodging as well. Be sure to reach out to them to schedule a site visit if you are local to Colorado!
Red Rocks Barn
2700 Robinson St, Colorado Springs, CO 80904
719-452-4327
Another awesome Colorado Springs barn wedding venue is the Red Rocks Barn which is located about 10 minutes south of Garden of the Gods. This cute old barn wedding venue is quite literally a “hidden gem” as it’s tucked away in a very industrial part of Colorado Springs. It was previously known at the Rustic Lace Barn but it is under entirely new ownership and has a new name. There is a lot of love about the Red Rocks Barn. Some of the highlights for me are its pretty, classic, dark red color, the reclaimed barnwood wedding aisle that you’ll walk down, and the wildflower gardens. The interior of the barn is cute with what looks like knotty pine walls which have a ton of character and nice wood floors. This is a great wedding barn option for those who want help with the planning at a great value. They have room for up to 150 guests at Red Rocks Barn. This Colorado Springs Barn wedding venue has wedding packages ranging from $7,000-$9,500 for 10 hour Saturday weddings. They discount these prices by $500 for Friday and Sunday weddings and by $1,500 for Monday-Thursdays. They also have cheaper prices for micro weddings (less than 50 guests) and for elopements so be sure to check out their website for more information.
Spruce Mountain Events
14771 S Spruce Mountain Rd, Larkspur, CO 80118
(719) 249-7010
Don’t forget to check out Spruce Mountain Events for one of Colorado’s premier rustic ranch wedding venues. This stunning wedding venue is the perfect mix of rustic charm while maintaining a high level of elegance. They have two different venues over a mile apart from each other.
The first is the Upper Ranch showcasing Albert’s Lodge and the Colorado Room, both charming mountain style chalets with lots of wood beams and gorgeous stone fireplaces. The second is the Lower Ranch which features the Ponderosa Room which is the venue that I find to be a mix between a rustic old barn and an elegant mountain ballroom. I love its indoor and outdoor fireplace. All of the outdoor spaces at Spruce Mountain are gorgeous as well. It’s a huge venue, well worth a site visit.
They have a wide range of pricing depending on what you’re looking for. They have options for those wanting a ceremony only ranging between $1,900 and $2,100 depending on the time of year you’re looking to get married. Spruce Mountain Ranch bases pricing on their high season, a mid season, and a low season. Weddings that take place during the high season are anywhere from $7,000-$10,500. Mid Season rates at Spruce Mountain Ranch are between $6,000-$9,500 and the low season rates vary from $5,000-$8,500 depending on which day of the week you host your wedding celebration. They also have their own interactive planning guide on their Spruce Mountain Events app. Search for it on the google play store and have fun with your planning today!
Tex Ranch
13925 Jones Rd, Peyton, CO 80831
(719) 641-2625
On the eastern plains of Colorado Springs, sits an adorable barn wedding venue called Tex Ranch in Peyton, Colorado. This barn is newer, built in 2000 as a working barn for this Colorado ranch wedding venue and has since been transformed into a wedding space that can host up to 150 guests inside and up to 200 if you use the outdoor space as well. At Tex Ranch you may bring your own wine and beer but you must provide a hosted bar with a licensed bartender if you plan to serve liquor. Right now, Tex Ranch is a new venue and asks that you get in touch with them directly to find out more about their pricing and their policies for hosting your wedding at their beautiful barn.
The Venue at Crooked Willow Farms
10554 S Perry Park Rd, Larkspur, CO 80118
(303) 951-8888
The Venue at Crooked Willow Farms is one of my favorite barn wedding venues in Colorado. It’s located in the mountains of Larkspur in between Castle Rock and Monument along the I-25 corridor. I love this place so much because the grounds there are just so darn pretty! They have gardens galore and the pretty red barns add a layer of rustic beauty to the surroundings. There are so many great options for spaces to use at Crooked Willow Farms. They have the Carriage House which is a stunning Carriage House Ballroom which is like a barn that a fairy godmother touched with her wand and turned it into a magical elegant ballroom. It has 19 foot ceilings with 4 gorgeous chandeliers hanging overhead and tons of beautiful natural light pouring into it from the stunning arched windows. It can seat up to 250 people and 300 when standing so it’s great for those who want to host a larger wedding there. Right outside the doors is a gorgeous, one of a kind courtyard with well tended gardens everywhere you turn and a stunning brick turret straight out of a fairytale. Lola’s Loft is also a stunning barn area hosting some incredible barn ceremonies indoors at Crooked Willow Farms.
I think this is arguably the prettiest rustic wedding venue for the price in all of Colorado. It’s almost impossible to take bad photos here. They host weddings and events from April-October only. The prices range from $6,000-$9,000 in April and they go up to $7,500-$11,000 depending on your date. Honestly, I could go on and on about how lovely Crooked Willow Farms is, but I think you should just stop right now and book a venue tour to see it for yourself. And after you fall in love with it too, get in touch with me because I would love to create gorgeous wedding photos with you as your Crooked Willow Farms wedding photographer!
Woodmoor Barn
1691 Woodmoor Dr, Monument, CO 80132
(719) 488-2693
The Woodmoor Barn isn’t one of the more well known barns and I recently discovered that it exists as a potential option for those who want to host a smaller wedding in the Monument, Colorado area. The barn has been at this location for 100 years but was rebuilt in the early 40’s after a fire destroyed the original. It’s owned and managed by the Woodmoor Improvement Association but you do not have to be a resident to rent this cute barn for your wedding. There are views of Lake Woodmoor from the back deck and the max capacity here is 100 people. You can host a bar here, but you cannot sell it at your wedding. Be sure to get in touch with the folks at Woodmoor to find out more about this off the beaten path barn venue!
Younger Ranch
Intersection of Walker Rd and, Brown Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80908
(719) 648-5370
Younger Ranch is a lovely family cattle ranch wedding venue with a barn that has been in their family for 5 generations. It’s located just a little bit east of the Black Forest area of Northern Colorado Springs. Their red barns are beautifully rustic spaces with tons of room for up to 150 guests. I love all of the vintage farm equipment they have in the area making for cute wedding pictures and they have adorable old wood cabin barns to use for the getting ready portion of your day.
Just a note, the following information was posted on their site when I first began this research in 2020 but they have since created a pricing pamphlet that they will allow you to download on their website so these may not be outdated in 2025 so please be sure to double check with them directly for updated pricing information. You’ll get exclusive use of their ranch for 12 hours when you rent the Younger Ranch for your wedding. Prices range from $4,000-$6,500 depending on the time of year and day that you would like to host your wedding. One nice perk is that they allow your engagement photos to be taken on the ranch at no extra fee. So you can show off what your venue looks like for your guests in your save the dates if you want! They have a lot of information on their site about what they include in their wedding pricing and photos of the property so be sure to head over to the site and get in touch with them if you like what you see!
Pueblo Colorado Barn Wedding Venues
Pueblo is Colorado’s largest city on the south side of the Colorado I-25 corridor and they have barn weddings available in the Pueblo area too! Check out Pueblo Barn wedding venues available in the list below!

Brush Canyon Ranch
8760 Old San Isabel Rd, Rye, CO 81069
(719) 582-6645
Brush Canyon Ranch is a cool rustic wedding venue tucked away in the mountains just 40 minutes southwest of Pueblo. This awesome ranch has been owned and homesteaded by the same family for 5 generations. It’s still in operation as a cattle ranch and has been hosting weddings in the Southern Colorado area since 1998. Although it’s not a true barn property, the shelter pavilion used for hosting wedding receptions is very barn-like made out of old rustic wood. I like the wide open feel of the pavilion with its string lights hanging overhead and the wood trusses on the roof. You can also add on a draft horse carriage for $1,200 for weekend weddings.
The Shelter House can seat up to 200 guests. One feature that I think sets this venue apart from other barn wedding venues in Colorado is that they have room for unlimited camping. So for those who think it would be fun to have a campground wedding where their guests camp overnight, this might be a great option for that. They also have space for 3 self contained RVs. This is also one of the few wedding venues that allow the entire weekend to be rented in their price from 12 noon on Friday through 12 noon on Sunday so you don’t have to tear your hair out getting everything set up or cleaned out. This is especially helpful for those with lots of DIY wedding plans. Prices for 2025 and 2026 are $7,800 for a 2 day weekend and $9,200 for a 3 day weekend package. If you are looking to get married on a weekday, they have weekday packages for $5,000.
Hatchet Ranch
7600 Hatchet Ranch Rd, Pueblo, CO 81004
(719) 650-9807
Hatchet Ranch is a wedding venue on a working cattle ranch about 20 minutes south of Pueblo, Colorado. They have a very large rustic red barn built in the 1800s that is used for hosting wedding receptions of up to 150 guests. They have room for more if you opt to use space outside the barn as well. The price for a Hatchet Ranch wedding is very reasonable and offers a lot of value for the money. It’s $5,000 for a 3 day rental meaning you can take as much time as you need the day before with decorating and have plenty of time the following day for clean up which is exceedingly rare with wedding venues in Colorado. Get in touch with the folks at Hatchet Ranch to find out how to rent their historic red barn for your wedding!
Marchand Ranch Wedding & Event Venue
4807 CO-9, Cañon City, CO 81212
(719) 221-8716
Marchand Ranch is a new addition to my list in 2025. I discovered it when I was trying to see if a different barn in the Pueblo area was still around and operating. I debated on whether I should include this barn in the Pueblo area or not because it’s actually located about an hour west of Pueblo in the mountains of Colorado. But, I felt that was close enough to go ahead and place Marchand Ranch in this section of the article. It stood out to me right away when I saw it because of the unique looking barn they have at Marchand Ranch. It’s very large and has a modern mix of materials featuring both the old wood and a matte black and copper aesthetic alongside the old wood. They are able to fit up to 266 guests in the barn but can seat up to 250 comfortably at tables for a seated dinner inside. If you open up the doors and do something more casual with the dining, they can host 300 guests at this wedding venue so it’s really a great place for those wanting to host a larger wedding. They also have an old vintage red barn and various other vintage items on their property like old trucks and farm equipment because it’s actually a working ranch. Also, it has beautiful mountain views. The rock formations surrounding this property actually remind me quite a bit of what they look like in Estes Park.
When I was looking at their site I noticed that this Colorado mountain barn wedding venue really has a lot to offer for the price that you pay. When you book Marchand Ranch Wedding and Event Venue you get a really good amount of time on your wedding day (9 am-11 pm) so you can set it up exactly how you want it. And, if you are booking a Friday wedding they even have the option to add on 6 hours Thursday for only $1,000 if you want to really go hog wild on the set up and even do a rehearsal dinner and rehearsal that day too. They also include a day of coordinator for your day which is going to be a huge stress relief. One other really awesome perk of booking the Marchand Ranch wedding barn is that they have something called the “Something Borrowed” shed where you can borrow trendy decor items for your wedding at no additional cost. I could see this being extra helpful for couples who want to travel to Colorado for a destination mountain wedding and don’t want the hassle of finding a separate vendor for the decor at their wedding. Another awesome extra I saw on Marchand Ranch’s website is that they allow you to go there for your engagement session at no extra cost. So many places require permit fees for portraits these days that this is really a nice little extra benefit they’ve added to their offerings.
The value of all of this is pretty incredible for a mountain wedding in Colorado. The cost to rent Marchand Ranch Wedding and Event Venue is a great deal. The majority of wedding venues in Colorado base their rates on the day of the week that you would like to reserve and Marchand Ranch does as well. Saturday weddings are $8,900, Friday weddings are $7,900 and Sunday-Thursday weddings are $6,900. They also have some options for those who are hosting smaller weddings too. If you are hosting 50 guests or less they consider it a micro wedding and the price for a 5 hour Sunday-Thursday rental at the barn is $4,500. A micro wedding on a Friday or Saturday is $6,500 and is also for 5 hours. If you are eloping, you can book 2 hours for up to 5 people on a Sunday-Thursday for only $500. You can add on 2 hours and the use of their getting ready suites for $500.
Colorado Barn Wedding Venues in the Mountains
The Colorado mountain towns and communities also have some really great options for hosting a farm wedding at their historic barns. I headed into the hills to find all of the best Colorado mountain barn wedding venues available in the high country. I’ve organized this robust list of mountain barn wedding locations in Colorado by area. Check out all of the best Colorado barn weddings in the mountains below!

Aspen Barn Wedding Venues in Colorado
Aspen may be known worldwide as a celebrity-laden ski playground. But, it’s also home to some seriously spectacular ranch weddings with pretty historic barns. Most of the barns in Colorado’s mountains are from the homesteading days and Aspen has its own share of leftover homesteading barns that are now used as picturesque wedding venues. Check out my favorite Aspen barn wedding venues below!
Avalanche Ranch
12863 CO-133, Redstone Historic District, CO 81623
(970) 963-2846
I love seeking out hot springs in Colorado and the Avalanche Ranch hot springs is a place you can rent for a beautiful rustic wedding in the Redstone area (a little less than an hour from Aspen) They have Gypsy wagons that you can rent for overnight stays in addition to regular-style rustic cabins. At this relaxing Colorado hot springs wedding venue you’ll be required to rent out a minimum of 3 nights for your wedding. You can accommodate between 60-75 people with their full venue buyout option. In addition to the overnight stay, you’ll be charged $3,500 for the event package which includes some party tents, tables, and chairs for your event. Couples can host such a relaxing and fun family reunion style wedding at Avalanche Ranch. If I had to do my wedding over again I would seriously consider a place like this!
Cedar Ridge Ranch
3059 Co Rd 103, Carbondale, CO 81623
(970) 963-3507
Cedar Ridge Ranch is located in Carbondale which is between Glenwood Springs and Aspen. They are a horse ranch that does glamping overnight accommodations and special dinners at their unique horse barn building. I love the overhead skylights and the intimate vibe of this farm venue. It’s definitely not a traditional wedding venue and will be best for those looking for a very relaxed, family-focused, small and intimate style wedding dinner type of affair. Although they do mention hosting special dinners and events, their website does not specifically mention weddings so please reach out to them directly to see if their special farm location will work for your event.
Flying Dog Ranch
1625 Co Rd 111, Carbondale, CO 81623
(970) 309-5256
Just south of Carbondale is a beautiful Colorado mountain ranch wedding venue with a pretty red barn called Flying Dog Ranch. It’s located at the base of Mount Sopris, one of the most beautiful mountain views in the entire state of Colorado! This wedding venue in the Roaring Fork Valley has a pretty little pond and gazebos that you can use. Plus they have room for up to 150 guests. They do require amplified music to be done by 7 pm to be respectful of their neighbors so this is not the place to be for party animals. However, for those looking for a rustic and peaceful setting for their wedding celebration at a great price, Flying Dog Ranch would make an excellent choice. When I first did my research in 2020, their packages started at under $5,000 which is an excellent value particularly for the Aspen area of Colorado. But you will want to check with them directly as their pricing may have changed and they have not chosen to share it on their website. Be sure to check in with the folks at Flying Dog Ranch to see how they can help with your wedding plans for a barn wedding in the Aspen area!
Holden Marolt Mining & Ranching Museum
40180 CO-82, Aspen, CO 81611
(970) 925-3721
The Holden Marolt Mining and Ranching Museum is a super cool barn style wedding venue right in Aspen. It was first used as a Silver Mine and then a working family ranch after that. The interior of the barn houses a museum so it can’t be used for weddings, but the outdoor grounds can be used. This pastoral setting has incredible mountain views and the exterior of the barn provides a beautiful backdrop. The grounds can be rented between the hours of 9 am and 9 pm, 7 days a week from mid June-early October and cost just $5,000 to host up to 150 guests which is a bargain for Aspen! Though, they do require a shuttle to get your guests to the venue and there is no on site parking for guests or vendors which is an extra expense. Because it is located in a residential area you may be required to secure a noise variance permit so this may be best for those seeking a quieter, more peaceful style of wedding. Be sure to check with the Aspen Historical society to find more information about availability and other rental fees that may be part of a Holden/Marolt Wedding package.
Old Thompson Barn at River Valley Ranch
333 River Valley Ranch Rd, Carbondale, CO 81623
(970) 963-0400
In Carbondale, there is a gorgeous old historic barn known as the Old Thompson Barn available for wedding rentals. It’s part of the River Valley Ranch properties and boasts incredible views of Mount Sopris. The Old Thompson Barn wedding costs are very reasonable particularly for this area of Colorado. When I originally did my research in 2020, the Old Thompson Barn cost $5,500 for less than 125 people and $5,950 for weddings with more than 126 people. I tried to check in on the pricing but I was unable to find it online so please be sure to check with them directly for the updated prices for this pretty barn. The grounds are beautiful and it’s located right next to the Crystal River so there are plenty of pretty photo opportunities at this historic barn wedding venue near Aspen! Get in touch with them today to find out more about hosting an Old Thompson Barn wedding.
Spring Creeks Ranch
644 Cowen Dr, Carbondale, CO 81623
(970) 379-8905
Spring Creeks Ranch wedding venue in Carbondale, Colorado has such a rich history and it’s been a working ranch since 1927. t’s amazing that it is still owned within the family too! I really loved reading the story of their ranch on their website, it’s definitely worth checking out. The scenery at Spring Creeks Ranch is incredible. They have views of Mt. Sopris off in the distance as you get married outdoors with miles of gorgeous open land off in the distance. Their barn is very modern with cool circular pendant lights hanging from the ceiling and gigantic modern garage doors full of window panels letting in tons of light. And I love that they also have a large outdoor pavilion for dancing outside! This is a BYOB venue so you can save money by bringing in your own alcohol. You just need to have a TIPS certified bartender for serving it. They also ask that the noise level be brought down by 10 pm. They can also host up to 270 guests at the ranch (215 comfortably seated indoors). Be sure to inquire with them directly for pricing as Spring Creek Wedding costs depend greatly on the date and time of year that you plan to get married. This is another wedding venue where they have 3 day rentals for your wedding weekend.
Durango Barn Weddings in Colorado
Way down in the Southwest part of Colorado is a beautiful mountain town called Durango and they are home to some beautiful rustic barn wedding venues. Check out the awesome Durango wedding barn venues I found below!

Reising Stage Event Center
2729 Co Rd 228, Durango, CO 81301
(970) 799-3632
The Reising State Event Center Barn is incredibly unique looking. I love the curvature of its walls and ceiling and the modern look of its concrete floor. This Southwest Colorado wedding barn is located about 20 minutes east of Durango and sits on an old homestead with lots of old historic wood structures that look great as rustic backdrops for your wedding photos. The barn is 2,400 square feet and features really high ceilings with skylights letting in natural light. This pretty Durango barn can host up to 200 guests (with the use of a white tent in addition to the barn). There is also a quaint little guest house that is included in your event rental that you can use as a getting ready space on your wedding day. Get in touch with Reising Stage Event Center to find out wedding prices and availability.
Ridgewood Event Center
16000 CO-140, Hesperus, CO 81326
(970) 385-4595
The Ridgewood Event Center Barn is about 20 minutes west of Durango and is one of my favorite barn wedding venues in all of Colorado! There is so much to love about this pretty Colorado barn wedding site. The grounds are gorgeous with so much variety for backdrops for your wedding photos and the barn itself is beautiful. It’s made out of brown wood, has beautiful square paned windows, is surrounded by mature trees, there’s a pretty river next to it, and the barn even has a lovely wrap around covered porch! So many wedding venue websites say that they are a dream for wedding photographers but in this case, it’s actually true! Definitely get in touch with them to find out what their availability is (they host weddings from May-October) and what a Ridgewood Event Center wedding costs! They seem to have some different packages based on your guest count with a small package for up to 60 guests and 6 hours of time at the venue, a medium package for up to 100 guests and 8 hours and then another for up to 200 guests and up to 12 hours. It’s definitely worth a site visit and if you fall in love, be sure to get in touch with me because I’d love to be your Ridgewood Event Center wedding photographer!
River Bend Ranch
27846 US-550, Durango, CO 81301
(970) 335-8877
River Bend Ranch wedding venue is only a 10 minute drive north of downtown Durango, Colorado. It’s hard to know where to begin with how beautiful this Durango barn wedding venue is! But, I’ll start with the obvious, which is that this neat barn wedding venue is located on it’s own private lake right next to the Animas River. It’s surrounded on all sides with beautiful views of red sandstone cliffs and mountains. The barn itself is huge with 3,500 square feet and can seat up to 200 guests. They have 4 different beautiful options for the ceremony site as well. I love that they built a long dock where you can walk out over the water which offers some really cute wedding photo ops. They also have some onsite lodging options including RV camping spaces so if you wanted to make this a destination wedding weekend with out of towners it’d be the perfect retreat for all of you. Be sure to get in touch with River Bend Ranch to find out their pricing and availability!
Grand County Colorado Ranch Wedding Venues
Grand County is one of Colorado’s most popular destination wedding locations and it’s full of pretty rustic mountain ranches with barns on their properties. Below are some of my favorite rustic barn wedding venues between Winter Park and Grand Lake which borders Rocky Mountain National Park. Check out these incredible Colorado mountain ranch wedding venues!

AA Barn
Co Rd 66, Grand Lake, CO 80447
(970) 887-4100
One summer, I went camping at the Green Ridge Campground at Shadow Mountain Lake and at dawn I went for a walk by the river (where I also saw a moose!) and discovered an incredible old historic barn which I learned was called the AA Barn. The AA Barn is located right next to the Colorado River just south of Grand Lake. It has one of the least expensive wedding venue fees you’ll find in all of Colorado at just $100 for the day. But, it’s only available during daylight hours and is quite rustic. It’s available from late May through the end of September. It’s definitely worth looking into for those who want to host a beautiful barn wedding on a super tight budget!

C Lazy U Ranch
3640 Colorado Hwy 125, Granby, CO 80446
(970) 887-3344
About 12 minutes north of Granby, Colorado is the upscale C Lazy U Ranch. This wedding venue is one of the saddest ones I’ve had to update because since I first wrote this article at the beginning of 2020, Grand County, Colorado experienced a horrible forest fire in October of 2020 called the East Troublesome Fire (2nd largest one in Colorado’s history) and the large beautiful historic barn featured in the photo above burned to the ground. You can read more about what happened to the C Lazy U Ranch and the rescue effort of moving over 200 horses to safety. On a positive note, they are in the planning stages of a redesign of the barn and it will be rebuilt.
About 12 minutes north of Granby, Colorado is the upscale C Lazy U Ranch. The C Lazy U Ranch is known for its luxury dude ranch vacation offerings (they’ve been open for over 100 years!) but they also offer incredible wedding options too. They have 8,500 acres to play on (and barns galore!) and it’s perfect for those who are looking for the perfect destination wedding location that will keep their friends and family entertained. You’ll do a ranch buyout when hosting a weekend wedding at C Lazy U Ranch and you’ll be able to host anywhere from 70-90 guests for the weekend. They have lots of options for both indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception sites and can provide all of the activities making it a really special and memorable weekend for everyone involved. This is definitely one of Colorado’s best ranch wedding venues. Be sure to get in touch with C Lazy U Ranch to find out what their availability is!
Headwaters Center
730 Baker Dr, Winter Park, CO 80482
(970) 300-3337
In Winter Park there is an old timber barn with views of the ski slopes that would make for a beautiful wedding day in Grand County, Colorado. There is a little pond right out back with a trail that circles around it. I could see that being a fun place to take some photos on a wedding day at this location. The barn itself is enormous at 4,400 square feet and has enough room to seat up to 240 guests. I really love the soaring ceilings and the huge barn doors that open up to a large 2nd floor terrace. There is also a 5,600 square foot outdoor lawn space and a stage where you’d be able to host a 500 guest ceremony/cocktail hour style event. They even have a bonus space called the Loft with 1,500 square feet that’s separate from the main barn hall area. I could see this being a really great place to store your belongings during the party or even a place where a babysitter can watch the kids while the adults party in the barn space below.
The package pricing for Headwaters Center weddings in Winter Park is a little bit different from other venues because they have a separate ceremony package that’s an add on to the reception package. To book a reception only you’ll get the space for 12 hours and your event must be over by 11 pm., Headwaters Center costs between $6,000-$9,000 from May-October depending on the day of the week you pick. There is a pretty substantial price break on the cost to book Headwaters Center from November-April. During the off season it’ll be $3,500-$4,500 depending on the day of the week you want to book. If you would like to add on a ceremony it’ll cost $1,200 to do so on Monday-Thursday dates. If you add on a ceremony on a Friday-Sunday date, it’ll be an extra $1,500. If you book the space for a ceremony only, you’ll get it for 3 hours. If you add on a ceremony to your reception package above, you’ll get the space for 13 hours. If you want to do an elopement style wedding with less than 10 guests they have a package for just $1,000 but your event must be over by noon on Fridays and Saturdays. They even have a package for a rehearsal dinner for $3,500 and you’ll get the use of the Headwaters barn for 3 hours. However, they only offer rehearsal dinners on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays November-April. Headwaters Center also requires a professional wedding planner for your wedding so you’ll want to consider that expense when comparing your wedding venue options. I think this is a wonderful option for a rustic wedding right in the heart of Winter Park!
Hidden Springs Ranch
56357 U.S. Hwy 40, Granby, CO 80446
(507) 202-6565
Hidden Springs Ranch is the 55 acre sister property of Guyton Ranch (highlighted in the Highway 285 corridor section of this article below!) and is located roughly halfway between the towns of Granby and Hot Sulphur Springs in Grand County, Colorado. You’ll be able to host up to 200 guests at this lovely barn venue with mountain views. This mountain wedding venue is particularly pretty during the fall color season with all of the golden colors in the scenery surrounding the barn. You’ll get access for 12 hours from noon until midnight for your wedding celebration.
The property is available on weekends (Friday-Sunday) for $8,500 and you can add on extra hours for $200 per hour. You’ll have to inquire with them directly about weekday venue rentals as those are only available upon request. They do allow reception only rentals during the week for 7 hours of time upon request as well.

Strawberry Creek Ranch
2690 Co Rd 60, Granby, CO 80446
(970) 531-2479
Strawberry Creek Ranch is roughly 10 minutes east of Granby nestled at the base of the mountains. They have not just one, but two gorgeous rustic barns on their property with a capacity for up to 200 guests. One of the barns is 150 years old and the other is brand new. When booking your wedding at Strawberry Creek Ranch, you’ll have the exclusive use of facilities from 12 noon-11 pm with up to 5 hours of bar time. They do require that you hire a professional, insured day of wedding coordinator to book their pretty Colorado barn wedding venue. Amplified music must be turned off by 10:45 pm. Weekend weddings at Strawberry Creek Ranch cost $12,500. Strawberry Creek Ranch is definitely worth a site tour if you are hoping to find a beautiful and rustic wedding venue in Grand County!
Winding River Ranch
1471 Co Rd 49, Grand Lake, CO 80447
(970) 629-0173
As I mentioned above with the C Lazy U Ranch, Winding River Ranch has a heartbreaking update due to the East Troublesome Fire from 2020. This poor family’s wedding venue was completely burned to the ground in that horrific fire. All of the buildings are gone, including the owner’s home. Looking on the bright side though, it’s been reported that all of the family and animals made it out safely and they plan to rebuild. I’ll keep my old write up below and look forward to updating this listing with good news about a barn rebuild in the future.
Winding River Ranch is another stunning Colorado mountain barn wedding venue located right outside of Rocky Mountain National Park in Grand Lake. I love that this barn wedding venue offers onsite lodging with the space for roughly 50 guests to stay in the cabins and up to 300 guests can be hosted at Winding River Ranch. They have two barns, the Bible Barn which can host a reception and the Historic Barn which is great for photo ops. Bible Barn can fit 200 comfortably and 240 max. There is also a white tent off the back of the Bible Barn which can also fit 200 people comfortably or 240 max. This is a beautiful, wide open space with gorgeous mountain views and the perfect amount of rustic charm. Be sure to get in touch with them to find out pricing and availability today!

YMCA of the Rockies Snow Mountain Ranch
1101 Co Rd 53, Granby, CO 80446
(970) 887-2152
One more awesome rustic barn style option in Grand County, Colorado is Snow Mountain Ranch at YMCA of the Rockies in Granby. Snow Mountain Ranch is an enormous place with tons of different options for wedding celebrations hosted there. But for this article all about rustic barn weddings, I’m specifically recommending the Rowley Homestead at Snow Mountain Ranch as a beautiful rustic wedding option in Colorado. I last photographed this location almost 10 years ago now and when I went to check in on any updates I am no longer seeing it listed under the weddings area of Snow Mountain Ranch’s wedding website so you may need to check with them to see if it’s even still an option.
It’s a historic site full of old wood cabins and buildings located in a less developed area closer to the mountains at Snow Mountain Ranch. As with some of the other entries in this article, this location is not a true barn venue, but the old historic cabins here have that same cool rustic vibe that a barn provides. You’ll want to use a white tent to provide cover for a wedding hosted at the Rowley Homestead. The YMCA of the Rockies is a great venue for those who want to have the space for guests to all stay on site as they have lots of different lodging options and activities for keeping everyone entertained. And, it’s generally one of the more affordable wedding options in the Colorado mountains too. Be sure to get in touch with Snow Mountain Ranch directly to find out what they can do for your wedding!
Highway 285 Corridor (Pine, Bailey, Conifer etc…)
There are a bunch of cool barn wedding options along the Highway 285 corridor between Morrison and Bailey in Colorado. There are a bunch of small mountain towns like Pine and Conifer and lots of old homesteading sites in this area meaning there are lots of old historic barns. Some of them have been restored to use as event sites and make for some pretty mountain barn weddings in Colorado. Check out my favorites below!
The Barn at Deer Creek Valley Ranch
64407 US Hwy 285, Bailey, CO 80421
(303) 929-9133
You can see the Barn at Deer Creek Valley Ranch in Bailey Colorado as you drive along Highway 285 with its pretty pasture and rolling hills behind it. The original barn was built in 1862 but burned down and was rebuilt in the late 90s. The new barn is a gorgeous white barn with teal colored trim and it’s fun to think about the fact that this site was once upon a time used as a stagecoach stop. This is a family run wedding venue with a lot to offer. They have wedding packages offering just the barn or just the homestead site or both. When you rent both, you have access to accommodations for up to 20 guests for an overnight stay. The barn can fit up to 180 guests and the homestead venue can fit up to 140. Deer Creek Valley Ranch includes 11 hours of venue access for your wedding rental.
You’ll want to confirm prices for Deer Creek Valley Ranch (and availability) directly with them, but from what I can gather they have some different options for hosting your wedding there. As is the norm here in Colorado the prices depend on the day of the week that you would like to host your wedding. Monday-Thursday Weddings are the cheapest and you can rent the barn venue only for $8,000, the Homestead Venue for $8,000 or both of them together for $13,000. Sundays are the next step up where you can rent the Barn Venue for $8,700, the Homestead Venue for $8,700 or buyout the venue entirely for $13,700. On Fridays, you can rent the Barn venue for $9,200 or you can rent the Homestead Venue for $9,200. There is an option to do a venue buyout for both spaces for $14,200. Lastly, the most popular day for a wedding is on Saturday and you can rent Deer Creek Valley Ranch’s barn only for $9,700, or you can rent the Homestead Venue also for $9,700, or you can reserve both of them for exclusive access for $14,700.
They also have all inclusive package options as well for those who would like to do less of their own planning. On Monday-Thursdays they have options ranging from $20,950 for 35 guests on up to $38,450 for 175 guests. Sunday all inclusive options range from $21,950 for 35 guests up to $39,450 for 175 guests. Friday all inclusive packages for Deer Creek Valley Ranch are between $22,450 for 35 guests on up to $39,950 for 175 guests. Saturday all inclusive package offerings for weddings at Deer Creek Valley Ranch are between $22,950 for 35 guests and $40,450 for 175 guests.
Guyton Ranch
35293 US Hwy 285, Jefferson, CO 80456
(507) 202-6565
Though they first opened in 2020, Guyton Ranch is new to my list in 2025 (I must have just missed them when I first did my research). They have a big beautiful 2,800 square foot barn on their 330 acre ranch located right off of highway 285 about 15 minutes east of Fairplay, CO and only about an hour away from Denver. It’s close enough to the city to be convenient for your guests who may need to travel to Colorado using Denver International Airport while being far enough away that they’ll get to experience the beauty of the mountains. You can host up to 200 guests in the barn at this stunning ranch. I love that they have a 24 hour rental period of noon-noon so you have plenty of time to settle in and get ready on your wedding day. You can even rent extra days if you want to turn your wedding into a weekend affair.
Guyton Ranch has various different package options for hosting weddings at their barn. Each of these options include housing for up to 10 guests in the main house and you can add on the honeymoon suite for more privacy for $300 per night. A one day wedding rental from Friday-Sunday is $8,500. A three day wedding weekend rental is $12,000 and if you get married during the week from Monday-Thursday you cna rent Guyton Ranch for just $6,500. One added expense that is unique to this barn venue is that you’ll be required to rent a bathroom service. So that’s something to keep in mind when you’re comparing prices and services with other barn wedding venues in Colorado.
High Flight Ranch
29702 High Flight Lane, Conifer, CO 80433
(303) 882-5968
An update for 2025 is that it’s unclear to me if High Flight Ranch is actually still in business to host weddings at their property. There is very little online presence for their wedding venue but I am leaving this write up here for the time being until I can confirm if they are still offering wedding services at their ranch.
In Conifer, Colorado there is a place called High Flight Ranch which is a private barn home that is transformed into a place for hosting weddings a few months out of the year. It is truly a magnificent custom home and the outside still looks just like a barn! They host receptions out in under the open sky (tent rentals may be an option) and you can dance the night away under the stars. Be sure to check with High Flight Ranch directly to find out about their limited availability and pricing information.

Mountain View Ranch
11883 S Elk Creek Rd Drive, Pine, CO 80470
(866) 341-4649
Mountain View Ranch by Wedgewood Weddings is such a great barn wedding option along the Highway 285 corridor in Colorado. It’s only a 45 minute drive from Denver and it has lots of rustic charm and picturesque views throughout the property. There is a nice newer barn that is used for hosting reception dinners and parties, but they also have lots of older barns that I’ve enjoyed using as part of the scenic backdrop at the weddings I’ve photographed at Mountain View Ranch in the past. Be sure to click on the link above to see a full write up and more photos from this awesome barn wedding venue in Colorado. I’ve photographed there many times in the past and have way more info and lots more photos on the link above.
My only potential drawback that I’d like to mention is that I’ve noticed they have been buying up many local Colorado wedding venues and turning them into a more corporate experience. Obviously, I am a photographer so I’m going to be a little bit biased but I can’t help but notice that they have this line on their website about using their photographers: “As honorary Wedgewood Weddings partners, our preferred photographers have more access to the whole property than others. That means you can get more beautiful backdrops, scenery, and other great photo elements incorporated into your wedding album.” I personally find that policy off putting because I think if a paying client prefers the art of their own hired photographer that they should not be at a disadvantage of not being allowed to go to certain areas of the property that would be allowed with someone else. Obviously, every business is allowed to make their own rules and I am still including them on this list despite the fact that they actively discourage using your own photographer who you might prefer more because it is a beautiful barn venue but wanted to mention it. It is definitely worth a site visit so be sure to add this pretty barn venue to your list of wedding venues to check out in person!

The Woodlands
8884 US Hwy 285, Morrison, CO 80465
(720) 443-1796
If you’re looking for a barn that’s a little more modern and not quite as rustic, you’ll definitely want to check out The Woodlands barn located just a short drive up highway 285 into the mountains. This is a white mountain barn that can host gorgeous weddings. I love this venue’s cool style with bright white walls and contrasting black accents. During the regular wedding season, The Woodlands wedding venue can host up to 200 guests at their beautiful industrial style barn. One neat touch I particularly like about this pretty white barn wedding venue in Colorado is that they have 3 different options for your ceremony arbor!
The Woodlands wedding venue costs anywhere from $7,500-$11,000 depending on the date you decide to get married. For the best pricing, be sure to consider a non Saturday date or an off season wedding celebration! Be sure to check out the link above for way more photos and a more detailed write up for this lovely white barn wedding venue in Colorado.
Western Slope Colorado Barn Weddings (Rifle, Grand Junction, Montrose)
The Western Slope of Colorado which includes places like Grand Junction, Montrose, Palisade, and Rifle is home to lots of beautiful wedding barn venues! Check out these gorgeous Grand Junction barn wedding venues on the western slope!

Amy’s Courtyard
3575 G Rd, Palisade, CO 81526
(970) 464-4959
Amy’s Courtyard wedding barn is a really great option for hosting a wedding because it’s located in Palisade at a winery wedding venue! Due to its location in the heart of Colorado’s wine region, (it’s located on the grounds of the Maison La Belle Vie Winery) you’ll know your guests will be impressed not just with the beauty of this barn venue but its tasty wine offerings as well. This lovely large brown barn venue in Palisade can host up to 150 guests and rents their space out for a full 12 hour day ending at 10 pm. The cost to host a wedding at Amy’s Courtyard starts at $4,400 for weddings under 100 guests with a $600 alcohol minimum. For weddings with over 100 guests the venue fee is $4,800 with an $800 alcohol minimum. Please be sure to contact Amy’s Courtyard directly to find out more about their prices and availability!
Antler Ridge Weddings
72005 Kinikin Rd, Montrose, CO 81401
(970) 209-1571
About 20 minutes south east of Montrose, in a beautiful mountainous area is a lovely wedding barn at Antler Ridge. I absolutely love the look of the pretty light wood of the Antler Ridge Wedding barn! It’s brand new and quite large. The San Juan Mountains provide a beautiful backdrop and they even do private carriage rides which I think are perfect for barn weddings. They have three different options to choose from for your ceremony spot and they have a bridal suite for getting ready in. Additionally they have a large outdoor wood gazebo you can use for a welcome dinner or rehearsal dinner for your wedding weekend. Antler Ridge does not have prices listed on their website so you’ll need to reach out to them directly to get a quote for your wedding day.
Bar 7 Bed, Bath & Barn
2162 Co Rd 15 Box 298, Meeker, CO 81641
(970) 878-5080
The Bar 7 Bed Bath and Barn is located in Meeker which is about 50 minutes north of Rifle, Colorado. It’s been family owned and operated since 1895 and would make a wonderful option for those who want a barn wedding in Colorado. I love that they include a 3 nights stay at both their Ranch House and their Bunk House with the cost of their wedding packages. The Ranch House fits up to 17 people and the Bunk House is for the couple as their honeymoon cabin. There is also space for a couple of RVs with full hook ups too. The land at this Colorado barn wedding venue is quite pretty with lots of mature trees, wide open spaces, and mountain views off in the distance. You can host up to 160 guests at the Bar 7 Ranch. The Bar 7 Ranch is by far one of the best barn wedding deals in the entire state with the rental being only $5,000 and you get the use of the property from check in time on Friday at 3 pm until check out at time of noon on day 4. You can also rent extra days at the property for $500 each if you need more time!
Lock Stock & Barrel
5328 CO-348, Olathe, CO 81425
About an hour south of Grand Junction on highway 50 in Olathe, there is a cute barn wedding venue called Lock Stock & Barrel. I love this charming vintage red barn with its concrete floors. Olathe is a small farming community surrounded by some incredible natural land like the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park to the east and Ridgway State Park to the south. You and your wedding guests could really create a wonderful wedding getaway exploring the beauty of this part of Colorado. Looking at their website, it looks like they include quite a bit with their packages including on site accommodations and some really cool vintage vehicles for your photos but you’ll need to contact them directly to get pricing for their packages.
Orchard River View Wedding & Event Barn
3926 HWY 6 &, 24, Palisade, CO 81526
Orchard River View is a gorgeous wood barn that’s been stained a very rich deep beautiful warm brown color and is located on the banks of the Colorado River in Palisade. Palisade is Colorado’s wine country about 20 minutes east of Grand Junction. I love the look of this barn wedding venue with its well maintained lawn right outside of it and the huge pretty crystal chandelier adding a touch of glitz and glamour to this rustic wedding venue. The barn is 5,000 square feet and you’ll be able to host up to 300 guests which is more than most Colorado barns can handle. Orchard River View does require that you hire a day of coordinator from their preferred vendor list though they sometimes make exceptions for outside professionals with an added fee of $750. Unfortunately they do not have rental rates listed on their website so you’ll need to contact them directly to get the most up to date pricing for your wedding date.
Ragged Mountain Events
Co Rd 77, Somerset, CO 81434
(970) 618-1611
Ragged Mountain Events has some of the most stunning scenery of this entire list of barn wedding venues. I had a hard time deciding which section to place it in since it’s fairly remote, but ultimately decided it made sense to put it in the Western Slope area section since it’s about halfway between Carbondale and Delta/Montrose area on CO-133. It’s actually not too far from the famous Kebler Pass which is a favorite fall color drive here in Colorado. I could see hosting a fall wedding at Ragged Mountain Events being particularly beautiful for your guests to get to enjoy Colorado in arguably the prettiest time of the year here. Ragged Mountain is a working cattle ranch and they do allow dry camping at their site which could be a pretty cool feature for a laid back wedding day in this sparsely populated part of Colorado most known for camping and outdoor adventures. There are also 20 sites available at Paonia State Park campground only 20 minutes down the road. (You’ll want to book your campground early though, Colorado campgrounds are very popular!) The renovated barn also has a 2 bedroom guest suite so you can stay there for the weekend of your wedding and they have 3 cute rustic cabins on site as well for guests to stay in. You’ll be able to host up to 150 guests at your Ragged Mountain wedding in Colorado. They have a weekend package of just $7,500 which is a pretty good price for a Colorado barn wedding venue with such pretty mountain views.
Sage View Ranch
40881 CO-133, Paonia, CO 81428
Sage View Ranch in Paonia (about an hour or so northwest of Montrose, CO) is another wedding venue I’ve chosen to include on this list despite not having a traditional barn to rent for the reception. I decided to include it because they have a lot of rustic barn style buildings on their property and the open air wood pavilion is rustic enough for my taste to include on the list. Plus, the mountain views here are incredible so it seemed a shame not to include it on the list even though it’s not an actual barn wedding venue. It overall looks like it has such a quaint, homey feel to the place and looks perfect for those seeking something more laid back for their wedding day. This part of Colorado is known for its farms and orchards and is a gateway to many beautiful scenic outdoor spots for hiking like Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. So if you’re hoping to find a Colorado destination wedding location with an emphasis on outdoor activities this place would be a great jumping off point for those kinds of activities. Sage View Ranch has a pricing guide that you can download if you give them your email so go check out their site today.
Vista View Events at Open Heart Ranch
4611 Co Rd 237, Rifle, CO 81650
(720) 538-6338
Vista View Events at Open Heart Ranch is an absolutely stunning newer barn wedding venue and is located about an hour and fifteen minutes east of Grand Junction in Rifle, Colorado. This is a lovely 5,000 square foot barn wedding venue that’s large, light, and bright. Vista View Events barn has a capacity of 200 guests (though they recommend sticking to 175 or less for more comfort), includes a day of wedding planner, and you’ll have access from 11 am to 11 pm with last call at 9:30 pm and event over by 10 pm. I love that they also include a beautiful decor library that you can use to create a beautiful atmosphere for your party. This gorgeous barn venue fee for a Friday or Saturday wedding is $7,975. They also have packages for booking the entire weekend at the Vista View Barn from Friday-Sunday for $16,300. They also offer a 10% discount for military members. This beautiful barn wedding venue near Glenwood Springs is only open from May through October so be sure to get in touch with them to find out what their limited availability is for your wedding.
Barn Wedding Venues in Southern Colorado Mountains
The Southern Colorado mountains are home to many old farms and homesteading sites and have an abundance of beautiful barn wedding venues in Colorado. Check out these great Colorado farm wedding venues in the list below!

The Barn at Howard Creek Farm
356 Co Rd 4, Howard, CO 81233
(720) 937-1475
The Barn at Howard Creek Farm is truly one of the prettiest Colorado farm wedding venues. It has it all, lush grounds on 11 acres, gigantic trees (this is not always easy to find in water-starved Colorado!), incredible mountain views of the Twin Sisters mountain peaks of the Sangre de Cristos, a vintage farm truck named “Thunderbolt”, and of course a gigantic, pretty red barn. The barn was originally built in 1861 and was moved to Howard, CO from Northern Indiana. It’s 4,000 square feet and can comfortably fit up to 150 people inside. I also love that it has an attached porch with even more room (1,280 square feet) that’s perfect for cocktail hour at your wedding. One huge plus for this Salida area wedding barn venue is that the owner has owned her own event planning business for years so she really knows a lot about the process of putting on a great shindig! The Barn at Howard Creek Farm is available for wedding celebrations from May-October. Right now there is only one date left for 2025 (September 20th 2025) but they are booking for 2026 now. Be sure to get in touch with this sweet family farm to find out how they can help you plan your Colorado barn wedding!
Sombrilla Springs Events & Escapes
12130 Blanco Basin Rd, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147
(214) 727-9016
The Barn at Sombrilla Ranch has renamed themselves to “Sombrilla Springs Events & Escapes. This place is a beautiful southern Colorado barn wedding venue located just 20 minutes east of Pagosa Springs in the San Juan Mountains. This awesome barn venue is part of the Sombrilla Cattle Company on Reed Hare Ranch. This place is for those who want something a little more off the beaten path. It’s incredibly rustic and it’s all about the scenery here. I love the mountain views and all of the huge trees off in the distance! They host weddings at their property from mid May through early November. They have a very rustic old brown wood barn that was built in 1932 but was restored to become the beautiful barn wedding venue in Southern Colorado that it is today.I love that Sombrilla Springs has glamping and other overnight accommodations that are included with your rental (though there is a tent cleaning fee of $150/tent) so you can host an intimate destination wedding if you like.
The cost to book your wedding at Sombrilla Springs Events & Escapes is between $9,500-$15,000. You can add on a rehearsal dinner the same weekend as your wedding for $4,500. The photos online do not do this place justice, so if you can manage to make your way out there (it’s pretty remote, about 15 miles north of New Mexico) it’s worth the visit to this extraordinarily beautiful part of Colorado!
The Barn at Sunset Ranch
27650 Co Rd 337, Buena Vista, CO 81211
(719) 688-8787
The Barn at Sunset Ranch in Buena Vista is one of the prettiest barn wedding venues I’ve seen in all of Colorado because of its incredible views of Mount Princeton. The barn itself is a nice dark wood color with 3 cute gables on it’s roof. It’s also quite large at 5,000 square feet and very comfortable with both heat and air conditioning. 2,200 square feet of the barn is used for the reception area and can host up to 160 guests. It’s also very reasonably priced at just $7,500 for weekday weddings and $8,500 for Friday-Sunday weddings. (There’s a reason they are already booked for every Saturday until October 25th in 2025! They have a calendar on their site you can check to see if they have your date open) They may require that you use The Pour Trailer which is a cute vintage travel trailer that’s been renovated as a bar on wheels for serving your alcohol as they do not hold a liquor license. (I did not see this mentioned in my 2025 research so you might want to check to see if this is still their policy!) They have a really cute old vintage truck on site as well which makes for some cute wedding photos at this rustic wedding venue in Buena Vista. Please visit their website and get in touch to talk about availability for your wedding date. I would love to be your Barn at Sunset Ranch wedding photographer if you end up booking this beautiful barn for your wedding day!
Everett Ranch Weddings
8955 Co Rd 166, Salida, CO 81201
(719) 530-1597
I am so in love with what Everett Ranch has to offer for weddings. First and foremost, it’s located in Salida which is such a fun little mountain town. Your guests will love it there. Secondly, it has incredible mountain views which will make all of your wedding photos that much more gorgeous. And thirdly, they have ALPACAS! I love that this Colorado ranch wedding venue has been family owned and operated since 1890. They have a 3,600 square foot barn wedding package which allows for a 12 hour rental (with a midnight cutoff) and can host 200 guests.
Everett Ranch weddings have some different pricing options for hosting weddings. They have a location on their property called The River Overlook which is in a hay meadow that overlooks the Arkansas River and has a beautiful mountain view as well. You can rent this area for your ceremony only for $2,000 and you an host both a ceremony and a reception for $6,000. They have a 2nd location called Sand Park that has mountain views and the option to be near a pond. In the fall, this location has a ton of colorful yellow wild sunflowers making it even more beautiful. This is a great place to set up a tent wedding. The barn of course is also an option for wedding rentals. For couples looking to host less than 50 guests they have an elopement/micro wedding package available as well. Everett Ranch requests that you inquire with them directly for pricing for the Sand Park, Everett Ranch barn, and micro wedding packages.
The Hayloft at Creede
24723 CO-149, Creede, CO 81130
(719) 940-0046
The Hayloft at Creede is a brand new wedding barn in the southern San Juan mountain range of Colorado. I actually went out for a site visit with Matt and Tami before their wedding venue was built to check out the area where they were planning it and knew they’d create a wonderful place to get married at just based on the beautiful scenery at their ranch. They can host up to 150 guests indoors at The Hayloft barn wedding venue in Colorado. The barn is 2,100 square feet. I love that they not only decided to build the barn for wedding receptions but also built a beautiful wood pavilion to host outdoor weddings along the creek so that even if the weather gets a little iffy you can still enjoy the outdoor scenery for your wedding without having to move indoors. The pavilion is 1,500 square feet. Another great feature about hosting your wedding at the Hayloft at Creede is that they have some options for overnight accommodations so if you want to stay the night as newlyweds you’ll be able to.
There are a couple of different options for booking the Hayloft at Creede for your wedding day. If you plan to just use it for one day, the price is $4,000. If you’d like to book the venue for a 3 day weekend, they have a package for that starting at $9,500.
Hutchinson Ranch Wedding & Event Center
6700 Old Corral Rd, Salida, CO 81201
(719) 221-4672
On Highway 50 as you’re heading into Salida you’ll come across the Hutchinson Ranch Wedding & Event Center. This is a real working cattle ranch that’s been in the family since 1876. You’ll get married with a wide open field with mountains in the distance and they also have a 36×60 foot barn to use for your reception. Their big, beautiful barn has skylights on the roof and can accommodate 175 people. Hutchinson Ranch has the ability to set up for larger events as well. I love that their newer barn also has a nice adjoining covered patio area which is perfect for cocktail hour. Hutchinson Ranch Wedding costs are quite reasonable too! They provide a lot of value for the price in my opinion. They have packages ranging from $2,300 for a ceremony only event to $5,600 for a 5 hour event package. They allow extra hours to be purchased for $350/hour.
I Bar Ranch
850 Co Rd 49, Gunnison, CO 81230
(970) 209-9796
5 minutes outside of Gunnison lies a super unique ranch wedding venue in Colorado known as the I Bar Ranch. This is not a true barn wedding venue like most in this list, but it’s definitely a cross between a barn and pavilion and has that same rustic feel that barn weddings provide. The I Bar Ranch is known locally as a fun music venue but they also do private events there like weddings. I Bar Ranch sits on 10 acres of beautiful wide open land with mountain views in every direction. You can host your wedding reception in the 7,500 square foot pavilion and there are plenty of beautiful outdoor locations you can use on the ranch to host your ceremony with breathtaking views. Be sure to get in touch with the folks at I Bar Ranch to find out their pricing and availability.
Log River Ranch
16510 US-84, Chama, NM 87520
(575) 209-0589
Full disclosure, Log River Ranch isn’t exactly in Colorado, but it is located in Northern New Mexico not very far from the Colorado border. This barn wedding venue is located in the same beautiful mountain range that some of these pretty Southern Colorado barn wedding places are located in. It’s less than an hour south of Pagosa Springs and has a gorgeous 2,000 square foot barn with maybe the tallest ceilings I’ve seen in a barn wedding venue. As its name implies, Log River Ranch is nestled right next to the banks of the beautiful Rio Chama and is available to rent from mid-May through mid-October. You get the space for 12 hours on your wedding day.
For 2025, the cost to rent the Log River Ranch wedding barn is $4,900-$6,900 for a weekday wedding, $5,600-$7,700 for a Friday or Sunday wedding, and $6,200-$8,300 for a Saturday wedding. It’s such a beautiful wedding spot that I just had to include it on this list despite not technically being located in Colorado. Take a look through the photos on their site, you’ll see that it has mountain views and the feel of a Colorado wedding venue so it earns a spot on this list anyway! I would absolutely LOVE to be your Log River Ranch wedding photographer.
Paradise Ranch
11044 US-84, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147
(505) 793-5683
Paradise Ranch is located about 15 minutes south of Pagosa Springs in a gorgeous mountainous area next to the Rio Blanco. This is also not a true barn but if you look at photos of the venue, it’s definitely a cross between a barn and pavilion and made this list due to its lovely vibe of rustic elegance. The pavilion is very pretty with really cool round edison bulb chandeliers and 1,400 square feet of space to work with. Paradise Ranch can accommodate up to 150 guests. There is really a lot of great value to be found in the wedding packages for Paradise Ranch too since they include so much decor you can use from their “Something Borrowed” closet with over 800 pieces to choose from. Their website says that most of the wedding budgets for their venue are $26,000-$30,000 but they have an updated 2025 pricing guide you can download directly on their website. For those who want to stay on site, they have the Paradise Ranch House and Bunkhouse with room to house 22 guests. This is truly a great find for an elegant and rustic wedding in Southern Colorado! Be sure to get in touch with Paradise Ranch today!
The Pines Ranch
379 Chalice Dr, Westcliffe, CO 81252
(719) 783-2039
The Pines Ranch is a beautiful Colorado farm wedding venue with a barn located right next to the beautiful Sangre de Cristo mountain range with views of Electric Peak. It’s about an hour southeast of Salida and 15 minutes west of the town of Westcliffe, Colorado. When hosting a destination wedding here at the Historic Pines Ranch you’ll have access to 187 acres of their ranch. This pretty barn wedding venue can host up to 150 guests in the dance hall space and they have some different packages for renting it for your wedding. For day of events, you can book the ceremony site and the dance hall for $4,400. For those who also need access to the commercial kitchen you can rent it for $5,300. They have a 2 night package at their cabins which can accommodate 48-50 people and also include a ceremony spot and the dance hall for $10,750. They have a 3 night package as well but the price depends on how many days you need access to the dance hall and ceremony spaces. They allow weddings in their dance hall reception space from May-September. This would be a beautiful place to rent for those who want to do a destination barn wedding in Colorado!
Steel Horse at the Colorado Retreat Co.
49130 County Rd LL56, Villa Grove, CO 81155
(719) 655-2214
There is a place called the Colorado Retreat Company which used to be known as Steel Horse Inn located in the mountains about 45 minutes south of Salida and it has one of the prettiest barns in all of Colorado that you can rent for your wedding day! I think it’s particularly pretty during fall color season which is generally in mid-late September most years in Colorado. The Barn at the Colorado Retreat Company is a gorgeous light wood with chandeliers hanging from its ceiling and is quite large at 40×60 feet. You’ll be able to host up to 140 guests at the Colorado Retreat Co.
I love the weekend wedding prices for the Colorado Retreat Co too because they have a lot of overnight accommodation options included with their weekend wedding retreat packages. You’ll be able to host 42 people for an overnight stay at the venue. A Steel Horse Ranch weekend wedding costs just $11,500 + tax for 2025 and $12,00 + tax for 2026. They also have an option where guests can pay for their own accommodations and contribute toward the overall package for $12,000 + tax in 2025 and $12,500 + tax for a 2026 wedding weekend. These packages include a lot of value at that price. One thing I really love about this pricing is that they include 6 guest room for 2 nights, 3 glamping geodomes, and also have 5 full hook up RV sites and up to 5 spots for tent camping as well so you can turn it into a fun, outdoorsy destination wedding in Colorado if you like. The property has tons of beautiful areas to create gorgeous wedding photos too! The alpenglow on those mountain views is stunning. Be sure to check with the Colorado Retreat Co directly to find out what their wedding availability is!
Shaw’s River Ranch
7381 Co Rd 221, Salida, CO 81201
(541) 610-3976
I’m including Shaw’s River Ranch on this list because the Lodge & Tavern on the Ranch restaurant on their property has a very barn-like look to it and is available to rent for your wedding day. Located about a 15 min drive west from downtown Salida, the Shaw River Ranch event center is 1,800 square feet and can host up to 150 guests. I love that this wedding venue has such beautiful outdoor space with stunning mountain views. They even have an option for you to stay overnight in their one room suite. They have various different packages available from smaller elopements and micro weddings to full sized weddings with over 100 guests too. You’ll have to email them directly for pricing for their packages since they are not listed on their website.
Waunita Hot Springs Ranch
8007 Co Rd 887, Gunnison, CO 81230
(970) 641-1266
Roughly halfway between Salida and Gunnison lies an adorably rustic place called Waunita Hot Springs Ranch. As the name implies, this property sits on a natural hot springs site in the Gunnison Forest. They have a huge private pool with water from the hot springs that you and your guests will be able to use during your wedding stay. This is the ultimate Colorado destination wedding venue. It’s gorgeous, relaxing, peaceful, and has a big beautiful barn that you can use for your reception party! Waunita Hot Springs can accommodate 100 guests seated outdoors and up to 80 indoors and when you book your wedding here, the entire property is yours to use. Waunita Hot Springs Ranch Wedding costs are $3,800 for the site fee and about $40 per adult for the reception dinner ($20 per child under 13) The lodging rates are between $45-$180 based on whether it’s adults or children too. Waunita Hot Springs Ranch describes their venue as a “family friendly” place and ask that alcohol be in moderation so this would not be the best venue for those who want to have more of a party vibe for their wedding reception. It’s perfect for those who want a more peaceful and relaxing family reunion type of affair! Get in touch with them to find out how they can help you plan the wedding of your dreams.
Steamboat Springs Barn Wedding Venues on Colorado Ranches
Steamboat Springs may be one of the best ski resort towns in all of Colorado, but they are known for their cowboy culture as well. This is the town that has one of the best western apparel stores in the state and where I bought my cute green cowboy boots after photographing a wedding there one weekend many years ago. FM Light & Sons is well worth a visit if you’re heading out to Steamboat Springs. Steamboat is surrounded by working cattle ranches and has a great selection of beautiful barn wedding venues for your Colorado mountain wedding celebration. Check out the best Steamboat Springs barn wedding venues below!
Day Off Ranch
1210 County Rd 103, Craig, CO 81625
(970) 457-0611
The Day Off Ranch is a beautiful wedding venue located off of highway 40 in Craig, Colorado about an hour west of Steamboat Springs. They’re just 20 minutes away from the Yampa Valley Regional Airport which could be an option for getting your Colorado destination wedding guests into town and avoiding the 4 hour drive to Craig. I really like the modern feel of their 3,000 square foot barn wedding venue at the Day Off Ranch. It has a nice mix of industrial style elements like black metal walls and edison bulbs with the rustic feel of the location. The best is that it has beautiful natural light from all of the huge glass doors that open up and provide a great indoor/outdoor feel for your wedding day. You’ll be able to fit up to 230 guests in this space. I love that they have some on-site accommodations so if you were hoping to stay the night on your wedding day, they can likely make that happen for you.
The Day Off Ranch has a couple of different package options. One is more of a weekend stay, run of the ranch from Friday-Sunday. And the other option is to rent it for just your wedding day. Please reach out to Day Off Ranch directly to find out what they charge for their wedding packages.
Flying Diamond Ranch Weddings & Events
29455 Flying Diamond Trail, Oak Creek, CO 80467
(970) 846-9229
Flying Diamond Ranch is a beautiful barn wedding venue just 20 minutes southwest from Steamboat Springs. Although you won’t use the barn for hosting your reception, it provides a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photos. They have a lovely white tent with clear walls set up in the aspen forest and it’s truly a dreamy setting for a wedding celebration. You’ll have the option of hosting your ceremony in the aspen forest or in the meadow with mountain views. This Steamboat Springs barn wedding venue is well worth a site visit especially if you dream of having a fall color wedding with the aspens in Colorado. Be sure to get in touch with Flying Diamond Ranch directly to find out pricing and availability for your Colorado wedding.

Heritage Cabin at Catamount Ranch
29355 Harrison Trail, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487
(970) 871-9200
Heritage Cabin at Catamount Ranch is located just south of Steamboat Springs. This beautiful, old rustic barn sits on the south side of Catamount Lake and they host a limited number of member sponsored weddings at their wedding venue. Wedding ceremonies are often hosted right in front of this picturesque historic barn. I love that there are tons of huge old growth aspen trees in the area making for lots of stunning scenery when creating your wedding portraits there. There are some cute little cabins you can use for getting ready in, and you can set up a large white tent for the wedding reception. I love that this Colorado barn wedding venue feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere but is only a short drive from all of the fun to be had in the town of Steamboat Springs. If you’re able to get a member of the Catamount Ranch club to sponsor your wedding, this place is very magical!
La Joya Dulce
47050 Co Rd 129, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487
(970) 879-7021
Just 15 minutes north of Steamboat Springs is a beautiful Colorado ranch wedding venue called La Joya Dulce. This unique ranch wedding venue in Colorado has so much to offer its couples. They only take on a limited number of weddings every year which means when you book one of the full wedding packages with La Joya Dulce, you’ll get exclusive use of the ranch for 3 days. They also have an option for smaller micro weddings that use only one day and host 60 people or less. La Joya Dulce even has a small elopement package for 3 hours for up to 15 people. They have different options to choose from for picturesque ceremony sites and the use of their event barn which can host up to 150 guests. They also have an event arena which can accommodate 400 guests and even more if you get a special permit. So if you are looking for a stunning wedding barn venue in Colorado that can host a large wedding, La Joya Dulce has you covered! They also have a large inventory full of decor that you can use for your wedding making it easier than ever to plan a Steamboat Springs destination wedding.
La Joya Dulce has a couple different packages for larger weddings. The Silver Saddle Package is for folks who already have a planner or have a good idea of what they want for their design. The price for the Silver Saddle package depends on the number of guests but it starts at $18,500. There is also the Diamond Hitch Package at La Joya Dulce which is more hands on with the wedding planning for you. The price for the Diamond Hitch Package at La Joya Dulce also depends on the number of guests and starts at $28,250. The Jewel Package is the micro wedding package for those having 60 guests or less. I would love to be your La Joya Dulce wedding photographer so get in touch with me too when you’re ready!
Telluride Barn Wedding Venues
Telluride is a magical area of Colorado tucked way down into the southwest corner of the state with some of the prettiest mountain scenery in the world. As with the rest of Colorado, it’s home to old picturesque homesteading sites that have the ability to host weddings. These old Telluride ranches in the list below offer wedding celebrations on their land. Check out these Telluride barn wedding venues below!
Gorrono Ranch at Telluride Ski Resort
565 Mountain Village Blvd, Telluride, CO 81435
(970) 728-6900
Gorrono Ranch is truly a stunning barn wedding venue at the Telluride ski resort that used to be a sheep herding farm back in the 1800’s. It exudes rustic charm and has stunning views of the Wilson Mountain Range. The Gorrono Ranch wedding capacity is up to 200 guests with a site fee that ranges from $3,000-$5,000 and menu costs start at $125 per guest at Gorrono Ranch. Gorrono Ranch is one of my favorite barn wedding venues in Colorado because it doesn’t get more beautiful than this location. Words cannot describe it so be sure to check it out for yourself! And if you fall in love like I have, please be sure to get in touch because I would love to be your Gorrono Ranch Telluride wedding photographer and create beautiful pictures with you!

Another option for a beautiful barn wedding venue in Telluride is the Schmid Family Ranch. This historic Telluride ranch farm is about 30 minutes west of Telluride and sits on some of the most stunningly beautiful land I’ve ever seen. Snow covered mountains loom over the barn and there are plenty of aspen trees dotting the landscape too. Schmid Family Ranch was homesteaded as early as 1882 and has lots of rustic old cabins and barns providing lots of photo opportunities. Be sure to get in touch with the folks at Schmid Family Ranch to find out what they have to offer for weddings at their family ranch wedding venue in Colorado!
Rustic Vail Barn Wedding Venues
There are also some barn wedding venues in Vail Colorado. Check out the Vail Barn wedding venues available in the list below!
4 Eagle Ranch
4098 CO-131, Wolcott, CO 81655
(970) 926-3372
I decided to include 4 Eagle Ranch on this list of barn wedding venues in Colorado because they have a cabin style barn building called the Nelson Cabin at their property just outside of Vail in Wolcott, CO. I have actually not yet photographed a wedding at the 4 Eagle Ranch, but I did photograph a family who was glamping at their cool outdoor tent area and they have wonderful wide open spaces at their ranch. It’s about a 25 minute drive west on I-70 from Vail. The Nelson Cabin Barn is an old sheep barn that was relocated to this site from this old town called Minturn which is also just outside of Vail. This quaint cabin style barn wedding venue can host up to 85 guests and I think it would be particularly magical during winter when they have sleigh rides there! 4 Eagle Ranch is able to accommodate up to 499 people if you use some of their other wedding venues they have available.I think this is a wonderful option for a couple who want to offer lots of fun activities during their wedding weekend with friends and family. Be sure to reach out to 4 Eagle Ranch directly to get a proposal for your wedding day.
Bearcat Stables
2701 Squaw Creek Rd, Edwards, CO 81632
(970) 926-1578
Bearcat Stables is a rustic barn wedding venue that sits roughly 30 minutes west of Vail in Edwards, Colorado. They host weddings from May through October and can host up to 75 wedding guests in the rustic Bearcat cabin and up to 200 guests if you go with a large white tent. This outdoor venue is very charming and provides a lot of space with acres of meadows, mountain views, an outdoor pavilion, and more! Be sure to get in touch with the folks at Bearcat Stables to see how they can help with your Vail wedding plans!
Freight
320 E 9th St, Leadville, CO 80461
(719) 293-1053
Freight is actually not in Vail, but I’m going to go ahead and put it in the Vail section for now since that’s the closest area that has some barn wedding venues in this part of Colorado. Leadville is about a 45 min drive south from the Vail area and both the I-70 to Co-91 and the Co-24 route are beautiful and scenic along the way. Freight is a hotel wedding venue in a historic barn building that was built in 1886 when Leadville was a bustling mining town. The barn actually used to be a lumber yard and train depot and was renovated in 2017 to become the beautiful barn wedding venue it is today. You’ll be able to host up to 220 guests for 6 hours in this barn. Even though your event rental time is for 6 hours, they do allow you to get ready in their getting ready room starting at 8:30 with your guest rental time lasting 6 hours. Speaking of the hours that Freight is available, they do require you to be done by 10 pm which is pretty typical for wedding venues in Colorado. However, if you and your guests book all of the cabins you are able to host your wedding until 2 am if you’d like. Extra hours are $500 each.
One of my favorite things about this barn is how tall the 32 foot ceilings are. It really makes the space feel grand. You can host your ceremony right here at the venue in front of the Red Shed in the courtyard but I love the idea of heading south to the Twin Lakes area and hosting your ceremony on the forest land in front of the mountain views at Twin Lakes. It will be an extra step to secure the permit you’ll need from the forest service but it’s one of my favorite views in all of Colorado! Please contact the folks at Freight barn in Leadville directly to find out the up to date wedding pricing for this gorgeous Colorado wedding venue.

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I really love the contrast of the dark and weathered wood of these barns against the soft white of the wedding party and the decorations. It would be wonderful to have this beautiful mix of rustic and romantic for our daughter’s upcoming wedding. She is getting married next summer, so we are trying to get the details ironed out.
